Fabis VRS Fuel MPG

Featured Replies

Just picked up my Fab VRS and running her in. Not sure what to expect on the fuel consumption front. What is everyone getting, will it improve with running in? How many miles to a tank?Alot quicker after run-in?

You may find you struggle to get over 45mpg until ya get a few thousand miles under your belt.. then depending how its driven you will get anything between 45-65 on a run :)

my average before wheels and revo was 52 which is about 620 mile to a tank

but now with the wheels and revo, indicated average is 45mpg.

the performance will also increase alot :D

and its quicker?

I did a 200 mile trip yesterday and averaged just over 60mpg...5200 miles on the clock.

The week i got my Fabia i went to Scotland and averaged 47mpg. Now im using it for work im only getting 27mpg :( (lots of driving around town at crawling pace with the A/C on) Hopefully as said above it will get better as it does more miles.

This saturday im driving from leeds to Notts and back im sure ill get nearly 50mpg if i use the cruise control.

Now im using it for work im only getting 27mpg :( (lots of driving around town at crawling pace with the A/C on)

 You sure you got the diesel ;)

Chris

even being a diesel with the aircon and stuck in traffic it will go down the worst I have got is 16.8mpg!! but that was a journey that took 1 hour to travel 4 miles *shudders*

Mine now has 5900 on the clock and regular gets above 45mpg last night I was sitting on 52.9 :D it's gettin better with mileage but he is still a young one, he is coming up to 4 months in 2 weeks bless his cottons

4500 on clock and averaging 48mpg. allround driving.

was nearer 43mpg when brand new. same driving. but quicker now.

jonno.

nearly 9000 on clock, averaging 40 MPG. You guys should drive it with the spirit that was intended :P

but he is still a young one' date=' he is coming up to 4 months in 2 weeks bless his cottons[/quote']

My fabia must be classed a new born then, its only 15 days old :D Only problem is that its done over 1700 miles already. D'oh! :(

Mine has done 22,000 miles and the average shown on the second reader (over 3500 miles) is 51.4mpg. I picked the car up in October, ran it in for 2,000 miles and drove like a Nun.

Now....slightly different story, I drive to and from work normally travelling over 100, so for the speeds that I travel at I am very impressed with the economy.

Just got to get sorted the peeling paint from the front bumper, one of the rear speakers is distorting and a stone decided to hit my windscreen and it instantly cracked the screen. Currently it's about 20 inches and growing!

Just beware.. if you get it chipped, and "exercise" the extra power... be prepared for 22mpg :D

After mine has been chipped I am only looking at about 650 miles to a tank :bigcry: :D

Chipping doesnt mean low MPG, My Kim Collins MTM conversion gives the same or better fuel economy, @ 158 Bhp with 374 of torque. The Chip is expenisve @

650 miles to the tank?

Have I got a small tank? My car is averaging 52mpg after 5000 miles but the most i've had out of a tank is 500 miles (needle nearly below red and trip computer stating 15 miles left)

54.4 - 3000 miles on the clock... 650 miles.... you got 2 tanks?
