New Fabia VRS.....

Featured Replies

Speaking rto a dealer from Cardiff yesterday, he said that a new furby Vrs is comming out restyled with the 2.0 TDi 140 out of the Golf. What does this mead for current owner, i find this strange considering the Vrs has only been out for a short period of time?

I think he's pulling your leg.

The Fabia range is getting a minor face lift in September, but no change in engines........definately not for the vRS.

My Fabia vRS (when it eventually turns up - damn this supply-and-demand nonsense  ) will be the facelift model. The only changes will be slight tweaks to the back lights and the dash. The bumpers will change on other models, but not the vRS. Everything else will be the same as before, although the 160PS diesel out of the Ibiza Cupra R would be a nice thought :D

My MTM chip gives all the same figures as that of the ibiza, its revs so cleanly , although not the most BHP drivebillity is excellent with 56 MPG on motorways trips a minimum.

Yuck that beige interior is defo not nice :thumbdwn:

Back lights look nice tho

Americans like their beige!! Yuck!

I think I'd really struggle to tell any difference, to be honest.

please lord keep the vrs interior the same... Rear lights do look nice though! :)

I have just bought mine, I hope they don't change the vRS too much otherwise it will spoil the nice feeling I have of owning one, Although then it would then be the ORIGINAL fabia vRS and the new one wouldn't sound as good :P

I feel like i've been waiting years !

:D Skoda Customer Services said of today 20th August, that the VRS Fab changes are really subtle, PROBABLY to match Octy Vrs, he said meaning changes to interior MAYBE !

No engine or mechanical changes are due , Sept it will be available - as you indicate. But Skoda still keeping their cards close to their chests WHY ?

There will be a "Jan" price increase too.

As yet I ahave not ordered mine but it looks like Broadspeed can beat Drive the deal as an overall package for me. Based on 121 haggel.

:) Do you reckon if I placed a factory order now it would be the facelift ?

Any idea anyone ? thanks..carnt wait !!

I am worried about these so called interior changes, as i really like the interior of the fab vrs, unless of course they change it for better?! in any case please keep the seats the same colours!!

I've never dealt with the internet brokers, but I hope they would be able to agree that the requirement would be for a 2005 facelifted model! It would be rather disappointing to order a car, and then to find out in several weeks time that they had got you a pre-facelifted model. Not that there's anything wrong with the previous model, but would the brokers attempt to clean up all the old stock (if there is any left) and pass them on without making this detail known to you? I don't know how honest these brokers are, compared with the rest of the honest motor industry (LOL) :)

I was at the dealer this morning picking up a luggage net and asked the salesman about the changes.

Out came the details from Skoda with lots of (black and white) photos. There are new cloths on all the models except the vRS (no picture so no change). The price rise is about

Wonder if those new back lights will fit the current model? Very nice!

Eh? What difference??? :P

Can we start a poll for number of differences we can all spot? options "zero" and "one" should be enough!

1.Rear lights

2.Front bumper incorporating Vrs fogs

3. Bumper inserts different shape?

4.Tailgate spoiler?

5.Different alloys?

6.Centre console a bit different p'raps?

No not very radical is it.

I dont think there was any revisions to engine ECU.

You are right Martin, the 04 vRS does have shorter ratios. Apparently this was to increase responsiveness at motorway speeds.
