Duno, I just run the reg though Auto Trader vehicle check;) I thought it may have been an old Renault at first.

That's right it's an old Subaru estate late 60s early 70s. Only know as I have some old copies of CAR Magazine bought off ebay.

I was thinking maybe some sort of nissan/Datsun, like a Cherry estate, then fouind a picture of one, and they don't match.

so thats what leaving a car standing outside for 20 years does to it. The last roadtax run out in June 1987.

Next time you drive buy get out & have a closer look, bound to be some tell tale signs somewhere! For me it looks like a Toyota estate, possibly a Corolla?

Well, now I know that it is a Subaru I feel rather dissapointed. Such an interesting car should be on the road and in use. It was only available in the UK for two years (1977-1979) and it would make an interesting ride - especially to Scooby meets. As it has a 1.6 boxer engine I bet it goes well too.

The farm where it is situated is the most dilapidated place I know - how the shed it is parked by has not fallen on it I don't know.

TH

Why don't you look at doing it up? The farmer would probably let you have it for nothing.

Dont quote me on this but i think that may be a little beyond saving ;)

It doesn't look the best - but it is only a snap shot of some of the car. Whats it worth when in good condition? I guess then it is only worth looking into doing up - if its actually going to be worth anything in the future.

Regardless of value, that's scrap.

What with the rear screen fallen in I bet the bottom has rusted right out - you can see below the hatch is mostly gone.:(

However, if I ever get a go in a time machine I will go back to 1987 and make the farmer an offer:D.

Nah, Turtle wax gift set will sort that over a weekend ;)
