what front pads

Featured Replies

I've recently (1000 miles ago) had new pads and discs on the front and while its good it just doesnt seem to have the bite i expected. I'm going to change the pads for something a little better i've done some searching but there doesnt seem to be anything definitive what does everyone recommend?

Cheers

EBC Redstuff or Black Diamond Predators.

im ordering tarox fast road discs and pads as soon as awesome opens in the morning. will let you know how they feel, i assume that when you changed your discs and pads that you replaced them with oem items?

I'd go for Tarox Strada or Ferodo DS2500s.

I'm running Tarox 401's. Not cheap, but they give better than OEM performance when cold and once they're warm, you have to be careful not to head butt the windscreen!

DS2500s are outstanding but not unless they're warm. And they don't give particularly brilliant bite IME.

Don't agree, I get very good performance from mine from first use. You could level that at the 3500s perhaps, but not these. And again, I have no issues with bite and feel whatsoever.

yeah there GSF oem parts. If you could let me know what the tarox setup is like that would be a massive help :)

Try a search to find in the bed in suggestions and give that a go before you splash on new pads.

I'm happily running RedStuff Ceramic on an Octy II though.

i got some textar from gsf they make pads for mintex and a few others they seem fine they also supply bmw with there oem pads

I too am in this position but i need discs and pads.

GSF sell the zimmerman cross drilled discs for £47.50 + vat each which seems resonable.

They also sell the green stuff pads @ 49.50 +vat, are these pads any good?

i've got the zimms on mine and there fine look really good too

Yeah i saw your thread, they do look good, I'm just a little worried by the pad choices available.

using red stuff pads in the front, with groved and drilled discs. work at all temps and got a good deal on ebay (i thought so) @ crnproducts.
