What a Shame!

Featured Replies

When I ordered my Superb II back in October, my dealer looked for one that was already scheduled that was closest to my specification. He found one that was exactly my spec, but also had Hill Hold and the Solar Sunroof in the build. I didn't intend to have either of those, so the dealer modified the spec by removing them.

The car is now at my dealers and it arrived complete with everything I'd asked for, plus the Solar Roof and Hill Hold. I didn't order those, so I get to keep them anyway, which amounts to an extra £900 approx of accessories for now't and a car with every accessory possible, apart from the paddles. What with that and the VAT reduction, I reckon that's a result! :)

Lucky your dealer isn't trying to charge you extra for those options...

You lucky, lucky bas*ard!

That's a definite result, as I quite like the solar sunroof (had one in my previous Superb). Couldn't afford it this time, so it's a nice extra to get for free.

Hope you enjoy the car!

The dealer probably forgot to mention that it came without the engine, £5000 extra please!

Seriously though, good for you. I would never be that lucky.

Very nice! When do you pick it up?

Enjoy!

I was hoping to pick it up on the 16th. January, but as my maturing investment is now being paid by cheque rather than BACS, it might take another few days.

The dealer knows me quite well and probably realised that there was no way I'd pay for accessories I didn't order, together with the fact that I was in no rush to replace my existing car and would have required another, correctly specified one, if that had been tried. I'm happy! :)

Pictures will (eventually) be posted!

If I sold mine I'd be lucky to get a Del Boy Reliant and that would have to be second hand.

Just don't tell her???

He obviously knows you're ex job and thought it would be like getting blood out of a stone! 4.gif

Yes, he does and yes, it would! I do get my servicing done there and buy all my screenwash refills too. Oh, yes, plus I've bought two new cars from him in 4¼ years. :)

No, I'm waiting until I really need a Maclaren F1, a Rolls Royce Phantom, a Bentley Arnage and a Lambo all at the same time. :)
