Screenwash alarm

Ok,

So this caught me out the other day going over Shap...erm what the heck, drizzle drizzle fizzle arghhh I can't see!!

So no screen wash low warning, is this on maxidot?

I'm just wondering if there is any way to get something in. Not after a visual key, a cheapo maplin pizeo buzzer will do.

Or retro fix maxi, but I suspect that's a big job (will seek later)

Ack well options, options, options, till next time.

Anybody know of a drop in buzzer / trick before I spend hours under the dash?

Mines got Maxi and does not have a low washer bottle warning Colin, I think it may be digging under the dash time, or maybe look at retrofitting the bottle that goes with headlight washers

My Fab 3 with Maxidot doesn't have one either, a little annoying, just have to check and fill once a week is all.

I'm not aware that any Skoda has one - maybe the Octy II or Superb, not sure.

Fabia mk1s have a very annoying loud beep when screenwash is low :D

My old vRS had one, not sure if it was xenon related or not though.

Mk 1 Octy Elegance has a warning light on the dash, I know mine just came on :rofl:

So, down to the dealers for some screenwash:rolleyes:

Colin, with regard to your buzzer question, could you modify one of those alarms they use in baths to let you know its full, so it tells you when the washer bottle's empty instead. :)

Aye I think I must of got used to my Octy RS, it had the xennons and as they had to be legally fitted with a washer... qed.

Well I was looking for a dropin water bottol heater, might as well drop in a plant low water alarm too :)

Anybody want to buy the "frell it's cold, save popping your bonnet alarm for nesh lowlanders on shap alarm in a box"?

Must be retrofittable, as would have thought it'd have them certainly if headlight washers are fitted.
