EddyH's Audi A6 Avant

Featured Replies

I thought it was about time I posted up some details of my lastest car.

Car

Audi A6 Avant SE in Oyster Grey with grey cloth interior.

Engine

Standard 2.7TDI V6 with a K&N replacement air filter.

Transmission

Standard 6 speed manual gearbox.

Suspension

Standard SE springs & dampers.

Brakes

Standard.

Wheels & Tyres

Genuine Audi 5 spokes off a 2008 A8 W12 A8 in 19x8.5 with 245/40/19 Dunlop SP Sport 01 tyres.

ICE & Security

MMI Basic Plus & 6 Disc CD.

The V6 diesel is amazingly smooth and quiet and suprisingly quick as standard expecially at low revs, I'm also really appreciating the economy! Standard SE spec is really good including auto lights and wipers, upgraded stereo (sounds really good), armrest and coming home lights.

The photos are from the advert when I bought it, I'll post some updated ones when I've cleaned it. Plans are as follows:

Already Done

Highline LED rear lights (I love these!)

5 Spoke Wheels off my S8

Removed Phone Holder

New Genuine Mats

Diadem indicators

K&N Air Filter

Short Term

Lowering (booked for Saturday)

S-Line Heated Full Leather (Sat in my garage)

Heated front seats (got the loom, need a new climate panel)

S-Line rear diffuser and exhaust tips (diffuser needs painting, tips just arrived)

Sat Nav (awaiting fitting)

Medium Term

S-Line Front Bumper and Grill

OEM Bluetooth

Long Term

3 Spoke Steering Wheel

S-Line Gear Knob

Possibly upgrade to MMI High

I'll keep you updated and it might spur you on. Seeing your photo's has encoureged me to get mine lowered. I've ended up going for Eibach springs over Weitec purely because of availability.

Very tidy!

Yep, another classy Eddy motor

Looking forward to seeing more photos, especially with those wheels fitted :D The upgrade plans sound great too...

I had a taste of a 6 cylinder diesel for the first time recently (older 330d) and was impressed. Had some go, yet did feel more like a cruiser / motorway miles muncher.

I noticed mapping wasn't on the list of mods? Are you feeling unwell? :P

Expect around 230bhp/340lbs/ft from the 2.7 remapped. Happy days

Ooops! I forgot that, it should go without saying though. :P

Phew! :D

Looks nice Eddy, and must be cheaper to run than the S8 was :)

Nice, very jealous! I'm looking at one of these for maybe my next car, didn't realise how (relatively) cheap they were for the big diesels. What sort of real world economy are you getting from the 2.7?

I'm averaging a calculated 35mpg at the moment, it was more like 40mpg before the pertrol stations switched to winter mix diesel.

Nice big motor.

Nice motor Eddy, look forward to some nice mods.............
