TRAX - nitty gritty map?

Featured Replies

This might come on the tickets for all I know, but I was wondering if anyone knew already which roads we're supposed to come in to the TRAX "arena" on. I don't doubt it will be signposted etc, but in the panic of it all, the last thing I want is to end up stuck somewhere, especially with Jonno in tow (not literally I hope). :D

Anyone got a close up map of the circuit and surrounding area...? Oh, and can someone post a good picture of the current circuit, please, so I can start to learn some of the bends, etc? Ta ;)

What makes you think i'll be behind you :P

VRS Jonno :D

Well, actually mate, if you know the way there like the back of your hand, I'd rather follow - I'd be going purely from a map, and the smell of octane. ;)

Erm... praps i'll follow you then.

Anyroadup, ain't you got a sat nav, you seem to have everything else :D

Jonno(going to shops to get O/S map.)

:hooray: Another :finger: to deal out.

I'll lead the way then Jonno - depends if you'd rather follow me on the route I know very well to the M1 and down, or take the risk and head down the A roads through northants... (which is shorter but may be slower and more fun) :D

A roads...

Northants...

Don't they have them 'orrible SPECS cameras round those parts now?

M1 sounds best, no cameras? and if you know the way.

See your :finger: button is getting a bit of a hammering lately :D

Go on, i'm ready :P

Jonno.

PS Jason, do you want to pm me your phone No. Oh on the 4th is the meet in p/boro, no probs if it is, just directions.

Jonno.

Go early or take to the itty bitty b-roads to Silverstone Village (which then has access to the circuit) would be my advise, saved me ~2 hours of waiting one year.

Truvelo, and yes. Particularly on the A43. Remember they're forward facing so you need to slow down well before them. They're blue, but they do have a luminous green border round them.

cheers nick, if i drive right up jasons ar5e, will the cameras not be able to see my No plate? and will this then be the first 8 wheeler Fabia in the country. assuming jason has actualy got 4 wheels on his car :D

Cheers

Jonno.

Truvelo's aren't much of a problem, the detection zone is the 3 magnetic strips on the road in front of the camera, as long as you're reasonably observant / quick on the brakes you'll be ok...

SPECS however are a totally different proposition.
