Featured Replies

Hi everyone,

At present I`m running on 205/40/R17`` but want to upgrade to 215/40/R17``.Q:would it be okay or touch the arches?Any experience pls!?

(car is lowered). Also which is the best tyre?I was thinking Dunlop SP Sport Maxx.

Any opinion/help please?

Thanks.

What ET you running?

And what rim width?

215's are fine... hardly any difference tbh...

:)

Oh and Uniroyal Rainsports... amazing in the wet and up theyre with the rest in the dry.... best all round road tire around ;) trust me

How do I find out about the ET?

Will say on the wheel somewhere.

Should be fine though.

Once you start running low ET's on lowered cars you start getting bother.

Cheers,will look at it tomorrow.

If its fine on the 205's 215's will not be a problem :)

I totally mis read that first post and thought you were getting new wheels too.

DOH!

As Jase said, they will be fine, aye.

be aware that your speedo will then be off

They will fit fine but when I tried them on mine they tended to tram line quite a bit more! Another big thumbs up for the Uniroyal Rainsports from me, best tyre I've used by a long way!

Thanks for all your advise.Decided to keep 205 40 r17. BUT now I`m confused which tyre to get:Eagle F1 , Dunlop SP9000 or Uniroyal Rainsport?

Rainsports every time

be aware that your speedo will then be off

Yeah it will read at 30.7mph instead of 30mph! ;)

On 205/40/17's it will read at 30.4mph to 30mph!

i just looked this up as i'm just deciding which ones to go for on my TT Comps!
