I know this one has been done to death ,and ive been through all the searches , but im still totally confused:confused:.Ive been thinking of disconnecting my egr valve on my octy as it seems that it will run cleaner. The problem is , which road do I take?As I see it ,I have various options .

Option 1 - completely remove the egr and replace with a Jabba/Allard power pipe.I believe this puts an engine light on ,but as my car is not re-mapped, only uses a tuning box, this cant be removed.

Option 2 -- Blank off the pipe from the manifold to the egr valve with a small plate. Will this put a cel light on?

Option 3 -- remove the pipe from the large valve on top of the egr and cap it off along with the valve pipe,and what will happen if i do this?

I have removed the egr valve and cleaned out 120,000 miles worth of crud,so would like to keep it clean ,using one of the above methods.I am also using Bas~s elephant trunk mod (recirculating through a catch tank),and would like to keep the anti- shudder valve if possible.Sorry to ask this one again ,but I dont know which way to go :confused::confused:.
