I think the bottom 4 options have been added on by some power-abusing moderator. :D

Wouldn't mind if those could be taken off please. :D

................anyone over that are young mined and can use computers and there own video player which they know how to use...all those other models will appel more to 'older' people who woudlnt know how to use a computer to save there lives nevermind how to find and log on to a forum...so that pole will always get the same results and it will be the VRS that wins... :o

Dear Boy,

I'm indeed one of those 'older' people who went to school when a mouse was still something you fed cheese to in order to zap the beggar, and the only thing that came in I pod was peas. When I reached 20-30 it was in the days when people that age could afford to buy houses, then demons like estate agents, lawyers and the associated vampires bled you dry before thoughts of interesting motors grew too big. Believe it or not insurance was also a relatively big deal in those days.

Now at 51, being old & tough (plus a bit more flush), the vampires feed less and the insurance companies think I'm saner (hmm?). Having sufficient length in vital areas to not require some luxo barge, yummy mummy 4x4 or having enough little dudes left in tow for a 7 seater daddy bus, the F vRS is the daily hoot that keeps this old git looking forward to the ride to work. After 35 years you need something!!

And you're right I can do all the electro toys, shame its only the mind that stays young......!

VRS is storming away with at the mo..TBH im not really surprised because...to put a terrible streo type on here and i will surly get told otherwise.. but the way i see it is.... the VRS is only going appeal to people between the ages of 20-30 or anyone over that are young mined and can use computers and there own video player which they know how to use...all those other models will appel more to 'older' people who woudlnt know how to use a computer to save there lives nevermind how to find and log on to a forum...so that pole will always get the same results and it will be the VRS that wins... :o

Nah - 49 in June and loving my vRS

Viewing the above stats, most people who voted on this thread have a Fabia VRS. The other 4 options some numpty put there are disregarded.

End of thread

Erm not sure how educational prowess comes into it but 28, Fabia vRS, Computer Programmer, 1 Degree 1 Masters.

hmm..that might increase the vRS voting to a degree' date=' but what about people like me, who are young and stupid and WANT a vRS, but the insurance is just a little too high at the moment so I had to make do with my sport (which, may I add, isn't on the list! )[/color']

What's all this about 'normal fabia' drivers not being interested ... my PD100 combi is perfectly able to sustain most mods that you vRS types post on here' date=' the alloys and suspension are a bolt-on upgrade for example.

I still reckon a lowered Fabia combi with vRS alloys and privacy glass, roof rails etc is way cooler than a standard vRS Fabia and with remaps etc just as quick.[/quote']

it just looks like a giant egg box on wheels, and it's not as quick, sorry but I suppose that depends on the driver, and going by this thread they are mostly above 50 and have lost their edge

only joking

1.4 MPi. I have a Fabia 1.4 Classic (8v Skoda engine, not a VW engine, thats an MPi isn't it??).

I'm 30 (Birthday was on Sunday!!), I'm a graphic designer (so yes I work with computers), and I have a degree in graphic design. I've had my car (and my driving licence!!) for about 9 months now, my Fabia is my first car.

the VRS is only going appeal to people between the ages of 20-30 or anyone over that are young mined and can use computers and there own video player which they know how to useJoel

Dont forget us 18-19yr olds!!

There are a few of us out there :)

Indeed quite a lot of 17-20 year old vRS owners now ;)

I feel old at 22 now... :o

Joel without meaning to offend, I think you are talking rubbish. I use computer all the time (at work and at home ) play playstation at home with my kids, so the only part I could agree with is the young minded bit. I do have a good excuse for that though, you see despite being too close to fifty I have an eight and an eleven year old son. They constantly drag me back from middle age despite my best attempts to be a boring old fart and yes its a Fabia vRS I drive. Why? 'cos its FUN!

I am 52 and drive a vRS. You are bang out of order !

Well, I don't know where I fit in.

I've just bought a new 1.4 Elegance estate and am highly delighted with it - it performs fine (I'm just getting used to its non-slogging engine) and seems very well put together, no creaks or rattles. I bought an estate because the boot in the standard hatchback is too small.

It replaces a 1.6 Migraine that I had for 5+ years and 55k miles - it was very reliable, failed to start once (loose flywheel timing connection), needed 7 new tyres and averaged 43mpg - hope the Furby will be as good.

I'm (recently) retired, built my own computer, run a web site for a cat club, and my other car is a 1935 Rover!

Regards,

Richard

If i would live in England i would be driving a brand new vRS at the moment, because here in Finland fabia 1.4 16V ambiente cost the same as VRS in england

Finnish prices:

1.4 16V ambiente 18200€ (

How may drive a VRS is Ireland? Because you would be SCR****D by the insurance you would have to pay

interesting view that most fabia vrs drivers are between 20 and 30. We have three fabia vrs's on our office car park. I am well past the good side of 50 and the other owners are certainly over 40. I have two customers who drive vrs's and both are 30-40. Hope this doesn't upset the younger fabia drivers and makes the vrs look like a go faster invalid scooter !!!

I`m 60 next month and I drive a vRS .....

I`m from zummerzet and can drive tracterrrr .... ooo aaa rrr

37 here and drive a 1.4 Mpi plodder! Ive also had 2 octavias , the 1st bought when I was 31 and the vRS when I was 32.

I'm 25, work in IT and drive a Furby vRS... guess I've been stereotyped... lol :orb_geek:

It's only the 2nd car I've ever owned but I did only pass my test in October 05 :D

Mind you I bought it because of the posts I'd been reading on here and the fact I was hooked after the test drive, oh and abit boring really but it made sense financially as well.

I'm not alone in the world.... I'm another IT geek, 25 and VRS owner!

how many of the 202 have VRS and how many are just dreamers?

26, IT degree and drive a Fabia Estate but i am used to bucking the trend
