Driving various bottom of the range company cars basic escort fiesta vw polo for thirty odd years, and around the time 72-78 of skoda or lada jokes, had NO Intention of buying SKODA

A night out in 2002 a SKODA taxi brought us home, very nice

Changed employment no company car and running an old banger until I found something new REMEMBERD the TAXI, and found BRISKODA, Read a lot, and had the money It had to be a FABIA

Local searches I found a oneyear old SKODA FABIA 1.9 TDI at a very upmarket garage in a very upmarket town. The lady Dr had been laughed out of the hospital so traded it at 3months for her BMW Convertable, Poor Ferby the Fabia sat in the posh garage showroom for over a year, laughed at by all the Knobs, the garage reduced the price by £1k then £2k THEN NATIONAL aka Jimbo appeared with his clapped out tenyear old renault

The MASTER salesman laughed and passed me to his very very young newboy, Test drive, and on return said I will have it obviously you do not want this tenyear old as trade in Called the big boss at home, and reduced it by £500 MASTER Salesman gave boy the four year hire purchase form

I gave the young boy £5k CASH only sale of the weekend too :-) The next day I went to pick up the newly taxed and insured car with warranty

A win all round I got an absolute bargain 4k on clock three months driven, twenty months old and gave the young man a good sale That the MASTER salesman grumpy old git failed to do SP03XXX

A year later I got more than I paid for it as a trade against my YELLOW FABIA VRS SP04XXX which I love

I am having to keep the VRS for a while for a couple of reasons, I want the LE BLUE but now it is getting to be old for the price asked, and there is talk of a new FABIA VRS, so holding back Though my problem is I do not want a FABIA 2 so may take the LE BLUE
