Maxidot Display Retro-fit

Its a 1.9 tdi Ambient hatch.

The mileage can be set to the old one with a lap top, just the same way some do clocking, I dont know how they do it I dont ask:)

Please note - I am no expert.

Read posts 22 & 23 where it states dash pods can only be programmed with mileage once. That might take a scrapped dash out of the equation.

Not if the milage is between its MOT one and the last service one:D

Does that include the stalk as well:confused:

No, used the existing one. If you have the fuel consumption computer thingy you already have the correct stalk fitted. :)

No I dont have that mine is a basic bog standard car

With a new dash insert the mileage is once only. If you wanted to replace with a used cluster then you either live with it or have it corrected. The cost of having it corrected would most probably outweigh any saving over a new one.

Thanks for all your interest.

I am not in a position to organise a group buy, but I have, hopefully, made you aware of where you are able to obtain a maxi-dot display at a reasonable price.

Thanks also to those who have posted, and those who I have PM'd, giving advice on where to get the dispaly fitted, and how much it might cost to fit.

Feel free to have a look for yourselves on Skodateile.cz - there may be other bits you want to order for your Mk 2 Octy.

I'm hoping to order mine in the next few days.

wrong website detail

but dash will be in km only. Does anyone know if it would be possible to put an mph insert in, and, if so, where you can get them from ?
I've got the original MPH non-maxidot pod sat at home - open to offers if anyone wants to see how easily the inserts can be removed...
