The wheels, colour, steering wheel are awful. The only redeeming feature are the seats.

They could of done so much better IMO.

Thanks did't know the instruments now light up white, think i prefer that to green.

Really ?

And here's the 'proper' VRS wheel

So the dash on the Limited Edition IS different (look at the position of the ancilliary gauges which are now at the bottom) - I guess that is how to distinguish the colour change as well.

I've got green in my current car and i think i prefer the white.

Like your steering wheel though looks a bit sportier somehow.

If your dials are green then you must have a MY08 build.

No mate current car is a focus ( green instruments at night), pick my ltd edition VRS up in march.

and assuming you don't get arrested en-route by Customs and Excise :D

Aye!

I did get some dodgy looks from various people today - I'm not the usual Q7 driver!

I prefer mine. The last car was Anthracite Grey which was a nice colour when it's clean but it doesn't work on a vRS.

Just had a nose around, I like it :)

Wheels seem lot bigger than the pictures, but could still do with 19's to fill out the arches some more. Leather looks really good too!

I see there are a few subtle changes (steering wheel aside) - I like the silver ash tray cover and gear stick surround, can those parts be ordered Ants?

My dials are green but the needles are white

It's a 57 Plate, reg Sept 2007

Anyone notice this new CR TDI red-line ???

Its 5Krpm on this MY09 dash and its only 4.5K rpm on MY08 CR TDI and all the PD VRS too

:)

And you have Maxidot, right? ................... there is a difference in 'needle' colour when Maxidot is fitted illuminating it white, without it Maxidot it illuminates green.

HTH

Good looking car, shame about the MG ZT rims, and trust me that chrome on the steering wheel will mean getting blinded by reflections from the sun in the summer. Bad choice there Skoda.

Green dials are a bit Ford Escort, though...

Looks like an MFD in there too. But i'm with the others, alloys and steering wheel are gash IMO.

Indeed I do, that explains it then. Cheers for that

My understanding was that all the vRS LEs were MY08, but thats clearly not the case!

Think they are MY08 body with 09 interior.

Thats what I thought.

Anyone got a grey vRS with the MY08 interior?

James @ Allams says they will qualify for the VAT offer, so I assumed that meant they were MY08 models.

In the market for a new VRs Octavia and had a look in the dealers in Glasgow yesterday at Octy VRs (MY08) and standard new facelift Octy (MY09).

For the pics posted, the Limited Edition Octy seems to have the new MY09 interior and the MY08 exterior (plus horrible wheels).

The MY09 interior of the new Octy is actually quite nice. The build quality just seems to be that bit better than the old interior. It has new dials, air controls and 'Bolero' touch screen radio.

So I think its a good thing for the LE to have this new interior (each to their own!).

Just wondering though; when buying a new (non LE) VRs, are you going to get the same new interior for 09 plate cars, or staying the same as MY08?

Dealer couldn't seem to answer this question and no-one seems to have seen a 09 plate standard Octy VRs interior.

I don't think you can order the vRS anymore, until the facelift model is available.

Why not? It's listed on the price lists as available and it is the only way to get a vRS, TDI or TFSI, with DSG and flappy paddle shift, by specifying the Multi-function steering wheel option.

It may still be listed but I think Jonno is right, you cant order a vRS other than the LE version..........................I could be corrected on this though :o

According to Skoda brochure effective 1st January to 31st March 2009, you can still buy the Octavia vRS but;

"The Octavia vRS does not have the exterior changes that have been applied to the rest of the range."

This also applies to the LE vRS and Scout.

It also states that additional extras are included as standard (18" Zeniths, Cruise, Dual zone AC, Jumbo box, rear elec windows and the new 'Bolero' radio) for the same OTR price.

Cheap As Chips:)

Its what got me interested in changing the Fabia for the Octy now, and if the new 09 interior is included then all the better. TBH the VAT deal also helps:thumbup:

Then again, if others can and want to wait to see what Skoda do with the facelift Octy, as I say, each to their own. Don't know if the deals for the new one will be as good though and thats if it even comes out on time-look at the wait for the new Fabia vRS...can't even buy the old style new anymore.
