£43k!?

Same ballpark as a Boxster/Cayman S though...

I'd have the Porker!

I'd have the Porker!

So have a top flight TT with an awesome sound track?

Or take a Porsche that makes you wish you had bought a 911.

Hmm.... does sound very nice...

£43k... I'd have a used AMV8 :)

Lovely sound that!

Still loving the rasp of a 2.0TFSI atm!!

That will be a 2.0 TSi in the GT then ;)

Don't..... TFSI / TSI

or TSI with red letters and non red letters.... who in their wisdom at head office decided to change all the badging!!

its 2.0 turbo charged FSI engine... to me thats TFSI!!

anyway stuff the badging... sounds brill!

Mmmmm.... Scirocco!

Ahh but its not an FSI engine ;)

I'm lost... whats not an FSI engine...

the Audi TT which is what this thread is about?

Or the 2.0 lump in the Scirocco?

the engine in your Rocco. Just a direct injection petrol engine, FSi is dead, bring on the TSi

If its direct injection how come it has TSI badge?

TSi is direct injection, none of the stratisfied/homogenous(sp?) crap that never worked anyhow.

God i'm gonna have to sit down and read desktop tomorrow at work, being a front desk tart i've just been carrying on thinking all our new petrols were FSI and telling customers this.

:o:O

He He.

Some still are but the idea behind FSi was to have two stage running. Different paths in the inlet manifold would open up giving better economy etc. In practice it didnt really work as it requires 100 ron fuel to even begin to happen. TBH on most models it was just a marketing badge anyhow. Now everything turbo petrol is a TSi and eveything n/a is still FSi in name just not function.

Its confusing our end as well, just as you get the hand of one along comes another. First time I found out the 1.4 Turbo has a built in charge cooler rather than an intercooler was when i took one apart.

Got it!

Great to see the 5 cyls back but in the wrong car though, not suited to a tt IMHO

These sound as good, are cheaper and are about to become even cheaper, etc etc Only problem is the RS, it would be a bit like having a civic type-S(kint)

Yup they do sound pretty good.. even better with a map ;):D

I'd gladly have the ST :)

I really did like the noise the RS made on 5th gear last night, but having seen one in town, a white facelift ST with dark wheels would still do just nicely...

There's a white facelift ST-3 not far from me for £15K........................problem is, I wouldn't get much for the Leon now.

Anyway, back on topic - I thought Audi had stopped producing the 5 pot.

Yes they had... this one is a all-new 5pot, essentially half of a V10 lol.
