1st I didnt understand most of that post sorry

2nd Why on gods (if he exists) earth would you want flames out your exhaust??

For a start they are illegal on the public highways.....That also Includes public car parks, outside mcdonalds etc.

If caught by the rozzers on public highways then you will prob get points and being 24 i'd imagine your insurance is already pretty high.

"I have a Skoda Octavia vRS. I was wondering whether it was possible to fit flamer kits to the exhausts and if so, would I get decent flames from the exhaust?

It has been modified slightly...

Answer - don't bother with a flamer kit - you'll end up getting yourself a ban!

Flames can look cool....

You need a mixture of forced induction, a free flowing (cat-less) exhaust and usually a VTA dump valve to get them easily. Alterations to the engine map to over-fuel on over-run help too. They can be encouraged with flamer kits which involve a spark plug being fitted in the exhaust tip. I wouldn't want it from any car of mine, far too chavy and silly, but I always smile when I see others.

don't bother, it would look daft on an octavia

I want a flamer kit for mine but like the one's in South Africa that toast car-jackers.....Clean my windows at lights with dirty water will you :rofl::rofl:

No, no and no...

Flamer kits have no place on a Skoda.

I was of course joking :D and agree totally with you ;)

I used to have a 1.8 8v Mk1 Golf GTi with a 1.6 box, with a single box Sebring exhaust, with the only other mod being a panel K&N.

I used to get flames from the tail pipe changing UP from first to second, and second to third if booting it.

Thing is, none of my mates could get it to do the same when they were driving it for me to see!

Going back to the OP, and I totally agree with you both!!!!

It has its place and its place is not on a skoda in a car park, backfiring lazy V8's and associated bigs engines its cool but not on a skoda.

Not having a go or owt, but do you think you could make it legible, only the serch engine on the site only speaks english. Please remember this a website not a mobile phone :)

Looks good on a Jap car. But NOT on a Skoda!

wouldnt have thought skodas overfuel enough to get flames, even when they have a decat.

the flamer kits which run on gas and have a spart plug in the backbox look absolutely toss!

the flame they produce is exactly the same as the one on a blowtorch!

there was a barryboy style astra at santa pod USC this year (was good but full of bellends) which had a gas flamer on it, and there was a mk3 golf vr6 that was spitting "natual" or real flames,

id pick the golf everytime

My missus spits flames pretty often at me ....you can have her if you wish....just hang her off the boot.

As i said before tho this could still bring points to ur licence tho....

Just unsure if it would be for hanging her off the boot or the flames she spitting.

This way you save money as she aint high maintenance and also you dont need to buy any kits for the same result. . . To top it all off she dont look chavy either

PS She is voice activated so no positioning of switches
