Wardy's Octavia vRS

Featured Replies

Bought a car today :D

2006 Octavia vRS 2.0TFSi in red. Very happy

I'm using a now familiar layout to my Member's Cars thread, so here goes...

The standard vRS spec, plus the following factory options:

  • 18" Zeniths
  • Jumbo Pack (Dual Zone climate, armrest, rear electric windows)
  • Cruise control
  • Maxidot
  • PDC (rear parking sensors)

Then a few changes/upgrades in the following areas:

Exterior

  • OEM front mudflaps
  • Osram Diadem indicator bulbs all-round
  • Philips X-Treme H7 dipped beam bulbs
  • Osram Nightbreaker H1 main-beam bulbs

Interior

  • Skoda boot net
  • Skoda boot tray
  • Dashmount bracket for TomTom, lower left-hand side of console, by climate controls
  • Connects2 iPod control through existing Stream HU
  • Richbrook metal taxdisc holder, in black
  • Std front maplight bulbs replaced with Philips BlueVisions
  • Briskoda rear window sticker!

Performance

  • Pipercross panel filter (thanks for making that an easy swap VAG!)

Planned:

  • Private plate to be transferred over, plus my Wolfsburg plate holders
  • Stage 1 map, at some point ;)
  • Parrot MK9100 BT handsfree, with iPod control

Possible:

  • Milltek exhaust
  • Front grille colour coding
  • Refurb of alloys, perhaps in anthracite
  • HU upgrade - Columbus possible, but expensive (?) - Bolero looking good, but none 2nd hand as yet

More details to follow, plus pictures - of course!

Cheers,

Steve

Bought from a certain mail delivery person by any chance?

Edit: Just read a bye bye Octy thread written by said mail delivery person so I think my initial guess was good. I should be CID!

In response to the photo requests, will put some up, probably at the weekend.

Then I plan to do a full detail when I've got some time available next month - if the weather is decent....

Cheers,

Steve

Steve,

There is a poll allready running to find out what dates people want towards the middle of the year, it'll give you some time to fettle with it before hand.
