Without xenons you mean Mike? There's an improvement with having a projector lens in front of the halogen I'm finding. Obviously it would have been lovely to have them again, but you can't have everything :D

Might uprate the bulbs in due course, but seem to be doing a decent job at the moment, in the time I've tested then

Still waiting for pictures Steve - This is unlike you :D

Lol - sorry Rob :D Do have some from this weekend, but they're a bit random :)

General update -

  • Exterior decals removed (sorry Andrew, but they just weren't me)
  • Dashmount fitted for my TomTom (lower left-hand side by climate)
  • Had a full interior valet done on Thursday - to get it all nice and fresh :D
  • Leather seat bolsters plus other leathery bits cleaned and nourished with Poorboy's Leather Cleaner
  • Genuine Skoda boot net fitted
  • Osram Diadem rear indicator bulbs fitted - not done the fronts yet
  • Std front maplight bulbs replaced with Philips BlueVisions
  • New rear wiper blade fitted today; front mudflaps also bought at the same time, but not yet fitted

Its got a layer of sealant over it now and I did a general clean yesterday, which will tide me over until full detail time (hopefully middle of this month) and the paint's beading nicely as a result. Plus I also did the shuts, plus door plastics and seat bases - cleaned with Meg's Vinyl Cleaner, then protected with 303 Aerospace Protectant.

So just doing little bits really, as I go along

Cheers,

Steve

What Focus ? :P

06 Octys in red rock :)

Slightly biased hey Tom..........

Nice work Steve, look forward to seeing some proper pics, they do look good in red though........:D

Congratumalations Steve. Red is obviously the correct colour for a car, and for wine, and for erm, riding hoods.

Red cars are faster and shinier and betterer than other cars, that's a red car fact.

:iagree:

Whoops I'm biased too

Will be doing a full detail sometime next week, weather dependant. Fingers crossed :)

Steve

Think twice before you do the wheels in anthracite mate. May spoil a great car.

^ he speaks the truth, anthracite wheels just look perpetually dirty!
