Mk1 VRS Service price

Featured Replies

Ok, the time has come for a service.

Cars just done 118k

I've serviced it myself every 6k since i had it at about 90 odd k (can't remember off the top of my head) before i had it it's full VW service every 6k also.

Was going to get the cambelt and water pump done again as i've been told it'll need it.

Was quoted about £550 for a full service, cambelt & water pump plus a wheel bearing that needs doing.

How does this sound to you guys?

Seems a little expensive but not massively so

250 for belt

100 for service

100 for bearing

would be what i would imagine it would cost, could be miles out though.

I'd say quite good, last service cost me about £250 from the main dealer, cambelt and water pump can be well over £300 at a dealer.

Ant would be a good person to ask as he had a service and cambelt/water pump all done at once last Autumn, I think it cost him somewhere between £500-600

This is a guy i know who's a Vag specialist and recently left VW (we use him at the garage i work at on the weekends for all the VW stuff) so i know he knows his job well.

I was just a little worried i was paying VW prices and he doesn't have VW overheads if that makes any sense!?

Thats a good price mate

Like Chicken said, I had mine done last year. Cost me £625 from a main dealer for the following:

Cambelt

Water Pump

40K Variable Service

MOT

Loan car for the day

Front mud flaps (Supply only) :D

Minus the MOT, car, and flaps, you're probably looking at Around £550. Was a good price from a dealer I thought. :)
