Upgrading Turbo Inlet Pipe

If your worried about how it drives on the road, then get a ride in a non mapped car that has had the brakes and suspension modified, and then you will realise that this is worth another twenty bhp on its own, as the car will then let you enter and exit corners much faster than you can now with your Revo stage 1, on the straight it will not roll and bounce about.

Again I agree, I never got the benefit of the map except long straight drag races against the obligatry merc, bmw or audi till the shocks and springs where done. Now I can take them almost anywhere I like. I can only imagine coilovers would be better still but wasn't sure I (or more importantly SWMBO) could live with them daily :D

Brakes I have managed without but there is scope for improvement there although I think Tarox G88's will be more than enough.

people do underestimate the importance of other areas before power, i would love to play with the handling but budget is limited unfortunately and remap was offered at a good rate. look at the rARB and front lower strut brace as these are supposed to be nice mods to do.

I totally agree with the handling side and there are always improvements that can be made but with stage 1, I really cannot see that it handles much worse with the increase in power, than it did without the remap. Maybe its just the Revo but I find it seems to feed the power in nice and smooth like the standard map.

Having driven a car with a LSD for a couple of years and then changing to the Octavia I can certainly see that the handling could be improved, but really is not that bad on the road considering it is a five door large hatchback.

Coilovers:- I had KW3's on mine, and although I loved them, and what they let me do on the road, "ER" indoors was not a great fan of them, as she thought they were too hard, but as she has a Ka, enough said..............................................LOL

Brakes:- I had the Tarox G88's on all four with Tarox fast road pads, and together with Silkolene 2000 ProRace brake fluid they were superb in all weathers.

Jon_VRS:- Whilst you think the handling is quite good, trust me, if you were have a go in an Octy vRS with coilovers or FSD's, and a Neuspeed 28mm rear ARB, the difference is like night and day, they totally transform the car to what it should have been when it left the factory.

God, I had better stop this as I am getting withdrawal symptoms for my old Octy vRS.

Stop it, I want a set of FSDs and I have no money :D
