Sometimes when taking a bend or parking etc the car has got really difficult to turn the steering wheel. Don't get me wrong I can turn it but isn't the usual fluid motion is like the PAS cuts out for a second and is then ok...

Any ideas or things to check, seems to be since I fitted the strut brace but this could be in my head.

Does the PAS warning light come on when it does this? I would get it scanned to see if any codes are logged.

Steering angle sensor fault i'd say.

But 'polo' doesnt provide us with a great deal to go on.

Borrowed my mates vag.com the other day and nothing in the codes with the PAS and no lights coming on whatsoever.

How do I check this steering angle sensor thing....(sounds complex think I'm better off with older cars alot less complex)

Any help appreciated.

IS on an 02 Polo tdi sport.

Can check in measured values but tbh I doubt youll get that issue on a Pol of that age, should have the latter type sensor.

Any other ideas then, seems to have got a little worse. Am I just imagining that it could be the strut brace???
