Felicia FOG LIGHTS and other electric questions

Featured Replies

Hello, and greetings from Skopje, Republic Of Macedonia

First of all - let me say this is a great place!!! I learned everything about my 1995 Felicia 1.3 Combi from here... :) I even successfully finished the headlight adjustment operation...

I have 3 simple questions...

1) I have front fog lights installed, but VERY clumsy, I must admit... The electrician who made this (for the previous owner) did a horrible job - extra wires, and relay out of the fuse box. I would like a simple explanation - with pictures if possible, of how to do this right...

2) Could someone post a picture of a 1995 Felicia dash board, illuminated to the full? Does the 3 button piece (above the lighter and ashtray) illuminate too?

3) I recently installed a Blaupunkt cd32 radio/cd... It functions well, and displays everything, except the back light illumination... Any idea how to connect the car radio properly?

I hope I'm not intruding guys, but I have no one back here to turn to... All of the electricians I know here have poor knowledge of how to do a neat and proper job...

BIG Thanksin advance, for every reply...

Relays are used to take the load of the switch when the application exceeds a certain amount of amps i guess your fog light are very bright

the temperature control, fan switch and the air control light up as also re recicle air button and the Ac button if they're not working you'll have to disasemble and fix eyther the bulbs or the line

the radio has in most cases an orange wire, that controls the ilumination, you can have it permanently on or splice the wire that feeds the center console and connect it there

Thanx for the info Cepheuz...

I have 2 more questions:

1) I read that the fog lights draw wires from the headlights. And a relay in R2, in the fuse box.

Any idea how to do the wiring (which of the 4 wires for the headlight to use)???

That's why I needed pictures...

2) Could anyone PLEASE e-mail me with a picture or PDF of a 1995 Felicia 1.3 Combi wiring diagram? So I can look for faulty wires behind the instrument board...

Thank You very much... My email is gokipoki(AT)yahoo(DOT)com

Thank You

well if the wiring comes from the fuse box, then.... (this is just best guess)

- Earth point in both left and right wing for fog lights attached to chasis near the front

- tw cables runing paralelle to fuse box, conected to relay 87

- 1 cable runing from the switch to the relay 86

- the earth and power for the relay should be alredy conected in the fuse/relay box

so it seems pretty simple

So, IF I understand correctly, I need to connect 2 wires from the switch to the relay 86 pin, right?

Is there an already made instalation in the fuse box?

And I need to carry 2 wires to the fog lights, from the box, right?

1 wire from switch to relay pin 86 1 wire from switch to positive terminal (in the fuse box is a common)

2 wires parallel (one for each fog light) to the relay box and 2 wires (one for each fog light) to a ground sorce close to the fromt of the engine
