Limited edition vRS prices

Any one thought of trying to buy an LE vRS with either;-

1. 18" Zeniths (as Skoda UK must have 500 sets somewhere in storage as thats what the LE cars came from the factory with) OR

2. upgrading to Pro Race 2s (the LE wheels are Team Dynamic Monzas) OR

3. get dealer fit B14s.

Push hard enough and dealer ought to do a deal somewhere.

Got my tdi for £16400, but were very resistant at that as they couldn't guarantee availability. But looking at photo's up at Grimsby i'd say they are playing the game. Impressed if someone got one for 15k though.

Reference the wheels, looking at the different threads posted i can see that the vRS purists aren't that keen and can prbably see why, but i've got to say not being a Skoda owner before i quite like the wheels and they are a bit different from the norm.

Welcome to Briskoda.

Interestingly, as a vRS purist I can understand your point viz the wheels; as is said "each to his/her own". Its your cars and if you like them, then that is all that matters.

What is more important is that you learn to use and love the tsunami of TDI torque you have under your right foot, and enjoy. ;):D:thumbup:

They're not stock piled at Grimsby.

If you look in the photo, the left car has the wrong wheels and the right one has no seats. It's taking a long time to convert these cars.

It's just taken me 4 weeks to supply a TFSi LE to a customer.

And as for the VAT offer, Skoda UK are advertising it but the dealers are funding most of it.

Hi Guys,

This is my first post on the forums but guess what, ive been here loads pior to getting my car.

Guess what i ordered the Vrs Ltd since it offered better value for money then the "norm" vrs, i still have mixed feelings about the rims but hey the company is paying for the car. I also think the ltd are still floating about since i walked into the showroom on the 28feb to order and i will be driving out with my car on the 27 of march, looks like they arent sell great atm

I would have defined 'most' as being more than half.

I've been looking at the L/E and as stated above the best you'll get is the standard 15% off. The usual tale from dealers is "we can sell all we can get", but these are car dealers we are talking about and if one said it was raining, personally I'd have to look out of the window before I believed 'em!! Therefore I won't be going for a L/E as:

1 Leather seats, had Black leather Recaros in a Golf GTi a few years ago - freezing in winter, burn your backside in summer! (NB the L/E doesn't get heated seats, even as an option)

2. Awful colour! Makes it look like a hearse, also I'd never buy a car that's the colour of tarmac!!

3. Dealer offered me £6000 p/ex for my 06 race blue petrol estate with 40k miles, when 50 miles down the road another dealer is selling an identical car but in red with 42k miles and is asking £10k!

So its going to be autotrader and then probably try an on line reverse auction, such as auto-ebid, they're offering a VRs estate 170cr for sub £16k - Anyone bought from them? If so what were they like?

Cheers

Andy

Since when are hearses and tarmac grey?

If you feel so strongly about points 1 & 2, why bother going to the hassle of getting a part exchange value????????? or did you like the car until the dealer upset you?

I was starting to think I was the only one who didn't think the wheels were too bad.

Now someone else has said it I can stop lurking :)

After reading all the messages on here about peoples dislike of the wheels, we were getting very worried having ordered one and waiting for it to be delivered.

We finally got it last week and think that the wheels look fantastic.... we are very happy with them ...the car is GREAT!!!!:)

Picked up mine on Friday and I agree, awesome car !!!

Has anyone done a deal for the limited vRS yet.Am interested to hear prices.

Dealer reluctant to reduce the price, so paid £17,800 for the estate vRS LE but got £5000 for an 03 superb 2.5 V6 which was a much better trade in price than any other dealer was willing to offer. (researched several skoda dealers in the area and they were charging this same price too). Love the car though se we're happy

I'm picking up my Le this friday and i cannot wait, when I test drove the vrs it gave me a massive smile to my face like when i had my mk2 golf gti.

Ill defo be grining till the cows come home this weekend :D, I hope the engine has a nice sound to it cos im sick of diesel clatter:eek:

 IMHO the TFSI sings like a sewing machine :( whereas the TDI growls like a Grizzly Bear :D. Which one are you getting?

Will be getting the TFSI since i will only be doing less then 10k a year, works out better in costs really

Yes, the picture is all wrong but I reckon that is a good price for one.

I doubt a dealer PCP scheme could get that close.
