daylight driving lights

Featured Replies

I far as I can tell, you cannot disble the cornering fog lamps in the MFD, only the DRL's

It does not state you can disable them in the manual and I have personaly looked in every menu of the MFD and the option is not there, it will be in the VCDS for sure though.

If anybody has actualy disabled them, I would love to know how?

Does the standard DRL setup not have the tail lights on too? I thought they did...

Personally, I think it's good to drive with DRL, having lived in countries that it is compulsory. But I think that the tail lights should be on as well as the front ones.

As I'm still waiting for my car, I can't check this out for myself...

Cornering lights cannot be disabled, they are part of the AFS system and you would have to disable the whole AFS system to lose the cornering lights, in doing so you'll lose the excellent headlight control in the Superb where the dipped beam alters its size and shape based on vehicle speed and weather conditions.

I was concerned when I got my superb more than 12 months ago about the cornering fogs, but I have not had any issues with them or other motorists.

Vehicles with DRL's in the fog light assembly do not have rear lights working. The earlier models that used DRL's in the headlights did have the rear lights on at the same time.

No the tail lights on not lit at the same time as the DRL's

I know it was possible to enable them on late Audi's with VCDS as I have done it, however there is not the option to do this with VCDS - unless possibly if you change the cars country to a Scandinavian one, as I believe they have to have the tail lights on by law?, however this would create another problem, in that the headlights would then be set up for a LHD vehicle :S

Bugger.

I know there is a Norgegian skodian here... I'll see can I find his details and write to him.

I want the tail-lights on.

3 more months to go for my car. The only problem is, I need it in 6 weeks!
