well the badger had one hell of a headache this morning ive got parts comin in the next couple of days it gave me a reason for a body kit so im happy and ****ed at the same time

the two normally go hand in hand for me.

Bloody heck! That's a lot of work. I think I may have identified the species of badger that you hit:

He He He bloody awesome !!!!!!!

Ouch! I was lucky one night, swerved to avoid one badger, hit his friend on the other side of the road. Badger got up and walked away and i just lost the plastic cover under the engine.

Sorry to hear that, it's scary what can pop out of the hedgerow all of a sudden.

a mate of mines brother hit a badger at 60 in a Mondeo and it caused so much front end damage it wrote the car off. apparently the badger still managed to crawl away into the undergrowth to die

I was very lucky 3 years ago when I hit a badger - just removed a fog light grill and damaged a fog light on my Felicia! Hit it about 50 mph to the o/s of the car. I knew it could have been a lot worse. I know someone who had their sump badly damaged by hititng a badger.

quick up date on the badger

its a confirmed dead with photograpic evidents to prove

and also a couple of days after i had to go back and find one of the two radiator rubber bushes i was quite supprised first that the rubber was there and also how much plastic there was on the road it streached for a good 100meters after the hit site which was marked red on the road but thats not where i found the badger

were did you find the badger then???? dont say it was under your bonnet when you lifted it to look at the damage:rofl:

but on a more serious note,id be gutted if that was my car:mad:

Did the badger still have his toolkit in hand, as it looks like he did a fast dismantling job upon impact with the front of your car!

I ran over a dead badger once in my old Renault 21 Savanna (2.0l injection baby, what a turd of a car!!).

The badger had been lying in the summer heat all day and had ballooned up nicely. The thing exploded on impact, much to the excitement of my passengers. I soon regretted the decision when I realised I had half it's guts stuck to the side of my car, and I had to sit in a traffic jam with the windows open on a baking day. Sun dried badger is apparently very fragrant!

Good luck fixing it all mate. My Volvo 480ES used to love eating pheasants on a regular basis! Not much you can do about it other than fit african WRC style bull bars!

You had a 480... was it as sh!t as mine?

I still have it actually! I managed to stuff it sideways through 3 concrete posts a few years back, and never got round to fixing it. Poor girl is just sat under a car cover on the drive waiting to be loved.

I actually really liked driving the car. My dad adjusted the suspension nicely for the twisties and the thing turned in beatifully. Unfortunately she became a little tale happy on lift-off as a result!

I do know what you mean though. The interior constantly broke itself, and squeaked and creaked relentlessly. The 'computer' hardly ever worked and as a result you never knew how much fuel you had! The rear wings also loved to rust!

The car had a lot of character! Never had a problem with the engine/brakes/suspension. Well.... not big problems anyway!

Was yours a turbo?

found the badger about 10 meters from the red spot which im gona hazard a guess was where a sorta hit him theres a few red streaks running along the bottom of the car as well not good really the octy is dropped about 70 - 75 mm and it cant clear speed humps very well so the badger didnt stand a chance

also if it wasnt dead the first time i hit it then my mate ran it over in his escort so its shared blame

i didnt know people cared so much for badgers people on FB have given me abuse for it

it wasnt my fault he dive in the way of my car

At least it went under mostly. This is what a Deer can do. Imagine the insurance assessor's face looking at this one:

No, just a 1.7.

I managed to stuff it into a tree, which was the best thing I ever did with it. It broke as fast as it was fixed. The best bit was when it inexplicably used to throw all it's gearbox oil out of the breather (I found a bodged-up catch bottle buried in the depths!), but also had lots of electrical problems and rust.

It did go OK, and handled well, but it was thirsty too. When I stuffed it I got a Golf Mk2.

Was the badger driving the car

I counted 6 dead badgers today whilst out (over about 74 mile round trip)!
