Fabia vRS 4WD

Recommended Posts

Just wondering if anyone knows if the 4Wd system from a Golf 4 Motion would fit on to a Fabia vRS to make a 4WD Fabia or if anyone has tried / knows links to a page with further info on 4WD Fabia Conversions.

Cheers

Dave

The Golf platform is the next size segment up from the Fabia so it ain't gonna fit unless you do some magor surgery to strech your Fabia or cut down the 4wd drivetrain. Probably possible converting an Octavia 2 as the Octavia 1 has a 4wd version.

trying to build a fabia vrs rally replica and would like to use a 4WD platform.......if not golf something similiar................can get the prop shortened and balanced so that is not an issue.......have considered using cosworth running gear as a plentiful supply of parts available..............

So will an Octavia Mk 1 be the way forward?

Dimma used cosworth parts on building a 206 WRC replica.

Thisis just one of those things that will never happen, would love to see it but lets be brutal whos going to spend 10k+ on a fabia after buying one etc, then furthers 1000s tuning it and so on, may as well put the money into buying an evo or something and save some £££'s.

YouTube - Skoda Fabia by Milotec

Milotec Dragon - Octavia 4WD, 335bhp 1.8 Turbo Octavia engine, the closest you'll get to a WRC Fabia kit. Yours for €50,000.

I thought about saving up for one, then I thought - for that I could have a properly fast car eg. Ferrari, so I'll save up for that instead.

The arches on the Dragon car look more like Escort MK 1 bubble arches than Fabia WRC sculptured rear door arches.....

No Comparison.....genuine Fabia WRC arches are so much better

I don't disagree about the looks, but the Fabia WRC isn't actually a Fabia - it's more of an Octavia if anything.

I'm pretty sure thats as far as it goes tho, it just looks the same. Dont think any of the components or even the chassis come from a Fabia (certainly not a standard Fabia RS chassis), and the engine is an uprated Octavia WRC one.

I'd say it's all custom... using most of the chassis of the Fabia, then customised where possible...

And nothing Octavia
