Anti car jacking & total enclosure & blue tooth

Featured Replies

Hi all

Collected my superb yesterday evening and looking to do some tweaks today. I used to own a Seat Leon Cupra which had the anti car jacking system where the doors locked automatically after the car reached 10mph. My assumption is that this could be done via VAGCOM.

Total enclosure was also a God send however I guess i need to either get a seperate alarm of some sort of module? Any ideas for the cheapest option?

Has anyone installed a Parrot bluetooth kit? I so, was it straight forward? It was straight forward with the Leon. Only problem i may have with the Skoda is that i dont have the radio code!

The radio Code is usually 4 numbers - so I don't think this is the code?

The radio code is 4 digits, however in the normal scheme of things you will never need it. The current headunits code is stored in the ECU, and is sent to the headunit from the ecu if the battery or radio is disconnected from the allways on 12V supply.

Is this the case for a 2003 mk1 model? don't wanna disconnect it and not have a radio for a while? Like the idea the ECU storing the code however this is the first i have heard of this. I assume the code would be retrievable via VAGCOM or similar

Should be, thats how my old 2001 mk1 octy was.

That looks similar to the code on the white tag which was attached to my spare key... immobiliser code?

The immobilizer code is 17 digits, do you have 008 in front of that SKZ code? if so then yes that's the immobilizer code.

I get the feeling this is the serial number for the radio. I wont be the immobilzer or radio code.

I just dont wanna be without a radio if i disconnect it. You are right, it might be on the radio when i pull it out tomorrow. Was hoping someone could confirm that if the radio is unplugged it wont ask for the security code as its stored in the ECU and the code can be pulled from VAGCOM if needed.

I'm pretty sure VCDS cannot find the radio code.

When i removed my radio (or disconnected the battery) the radio fired straight back up when it was reconnected with no code input needed.

No it isnt, only via the dealer unless written somewhere.

When you reconnect the battery the radio will show SAFE with some *'s. Wait a few seconds, and the radio will fetch the code from the ECU. You'll need the ignition on though

Naa mate, disconnected it and when i reconnected, it asked for the code! Now im buggered......

Have you simply turned it on, or turned the ignition on? The ECU will only fire up with the ignition on ;)

I had it in there for over 5min and even went round the block. No luck. It is still asking for a code:mad:

Trying my Blaupunkt MP56 now however i really dont wanna loose the steering controls. When i plug the top iso plg in (the yellow/green/blue one) it goes all loopy (comes up with telephone/usb all the time)

Depending on the stereo, if a Skoda one then the code was stored into the ECU.

You may have to press one of the buttons. IIRC my elegance's syphony you lhad to, but this was mentioned in the radio manual which one.

I think it's the confirmation of code one.
