Anthracite or black alloys on silver octy

Featured Replies

hi all, i'm thinking of having my wheels painted in, as the title says, anthracite or black! if anyone has a silver octy with wheels this colour could they please post some pictures, i think they look real good on red octys, but haven't seen enough silver octys to decide. many thanks:thumbup:

look for my post a few down, pics there!

I would go for anthracite

I had black alloys on my mk1 Octy VRS and they were ok, but I have seen a few silver fabias with anthracite and the 2 colours seem to compliment each other better

As always its personal preference

I will try and find a pic of my mk1 anyway

I might be alone in saying this, but I don't think I like black wheels on a silver car. I think wheel colour is tough for silver cars.

White wheels on a black octavia looks really good, and anthracite wheels on a red octavia also looks great.

Hmmmmmmm

I agree on the Black colour, as hard to get a match for trim etc, as most of the trim is not gloss black, hence why we went for anthracite, matches a lot better.

Also works very well on a yellow Leon Cupra R  (as this is what we have had in the past)

thanks for the pics guys! i agree that black wheels may not suit a silver car, i much prefer anthracite, but a really dark one - though with a satin finish, not gloss. bodge, yes, anthracite wheels look superb on red octy's, so when i get round to upgrading to a vrs i think i'll be looking for a red one! in the mean time i'll make do with silver!

i wanted black wheels on mine, but thought it would be a bit overkill so decided on black and silver tsw black ice.

Black wheels look great on silver cars but it has to be a dull black either matt or satin.
