VAGCOM owners...

Featured Replies

Not sure if I've posted this in the right place, sorry if it's not!

Anyone with VAGCOM in the South area could I possibly trouble you for a favour please?

Can I come see you so you could possibly add anti hijack and locking / unlocking beeps to my Fabia vRS?

There's another thread titled Intelligent Indicators in the Fabia section if I haven't explained myself well, sorry don't know how to make a link to the thread! My PC's mega old!

Obviously a few beverages of the alcoholic variety would be passed on as payment :D unless you don't drink of course

Thanks guys and girls,

Hicksy

I'm just trying to work out what you mean bu anti hijack? any more details?

Locks the doors above a certain speed. 5 mph I think

Surley Hi-Jackers would Hi-Jack a car when it is travelling at speeds less than 5mph, as apposed to trying to Hi-Jack it at speeds over the 5-10 mark, therefore rendering anti hi-jack useless??

correct me if i am barking up the wrong tree completley :)

The car locks itself when you set off (say from home). It won't unlock itself unless you remove the key, or press the door unlock button, or pull the door lever twice. From the outside it is impossible to open the door. I believe that in the case of an accident all doors will be unlocked so safety crew can enter the car.

Ah thats good then

appologies i thought every time you slowed down to speeds of 10-5mph it unlocked its self, was unaware it remained locked at all times

i would be interested to know if you can programme the car to close the windows, should any be open, with the button on the key as you lock the doors? That'd be cool.

Yeah that would be cool, I think you can do it with the key in the lock?

I believe you need an additional bit of kit to do that - think Ian has it on his Octy? You can do it by holding the key in the locking position in the door though. Holding it in the unlocking position will open all the windows.....

Think you can already do this.

An Alientech controller obtainable from here. Do a search for 'Alientech' and read the threads. You will see that it may not work on the Fabia but definitely does on the Octavia.

I have an Alientech unit... Brand new.

I don't think it will work on my Fabia due to the Bus Lines (unless anyone can tell me otherwise??)

It will be for sale unless someone tells me how to get it to work on the Fabia.

If you do consider selling it, please let me know. I am interested depending on price.
