New vRS - Standard or Extras?

Featured Replies

Can anyone tell me whether the following are standard on an Octy vRS or whether they are "extras". Dealer claimed not to know which makes me think they are standard and he wants me to think he's a good chap for throwing them in

vRS mats

locking wheel nuts

door sill covers (do they do them with the vRS logo?)

mudflaps

Is the spare steel or alloy?

Similarly for the Furby vRS?

Mats are standard and the spare is a full sized alloy. Others are options/mods.

Same on the Furby

I thought the locking wheel nuts were standard as well ? Certainly don't remember poaying extra for them.

I was reasonably sure that the locking wheel nuts were also standard, although I can't find any reference to that on the Skoda website.

Mudflaps are certainly optional extras.

Edit: Thank you very much Jane. Beaten again

Front mud guards are optional as are sill protectors.

Rest are standard.

Just so you know how much you're saving....

vRS mats - Standard

locking wheel nuts - Standard but not very good.

door sill covers (do they do them with the vRS logo?) - Accessory without vRS logo, but can be bought with

mudflaps - Rear standard, Front Accessory

Is the spare steel or alloy? - Bit of a mixed bag, some are and some aren't. Mine is alloy, but others have steel

vRS mats- Standard

locking wheel nuts- Standard

door sill covers (do they do them with the vRS logo?)- Available from dealer.

mudflaps- Rear are standard, fronts available from dealer.

Is the spare steel or alloy?- Alloy. 17 inch on Hatch, 16 on estate, assuming it's a new car, or a relatively recent used one.

All the above applies to the Octavia RS, as for the Furby...don't know, don't care :)

what else is he

what else is he

Fabia:

vRS Mats

vRS Sill Protectors

Steel Spare Wheel

Locking Wheel Nuts

All Standard

The 1st July 2004 Octavia RRP list and technical specification brochure shows the vRS as having as standard:

17" alloy wheels , Spider (full size steel spare)(16" on Estate)

Rear mudflaps

Front mudflaps, door sill covers and locking wheel nuts don't get a mention in the equipment list.

Cheers for the response. Confirms what I thought - On the Fabia most is standard but on the Octy only the mats and wheel nuts.

I suppose things have moved on. For not much more than 13.5k you can't really grumble if it doesn't come with locking wheel nuts.

****. When did I pass 2000 posts?

How many of you have an Alloy spare wheel on their furby vrs - mine is steel  - have I been diddled?

I've just been told by an older wiser person, that locking wheel bolts are compulsory by law if it's got alloys!

Andrew

Older, wiser people. Don't you just love 'em?

You have, they've sold you a vRS but it's not a real one.

About 62 posts ago ? :D

Andrew[/quote']

which law is that then? I bet most of you keep your locking wheel nut key in the car anyway, so whats the point?

not really any point

I guess they are just older then?
