What was the insurance like and how old are you?

Thinking to get a speed four for my first bike, do you think it would be safe to handle for a leaner to ride 600cc? Wouldnt mind one when im 24.

My mate went from the most southern point of South America up to North Alaska on a Daytona, then took it around the world to become the fastest man round the world on a motorbike!

Had the newer 800 VFR as a loan bike when my SV was rear ended. Started off with a 600 hornet as a loan bike from insurance but as that broke down twice in 1 day, I moaned and they relucantly passed over the keys for the VFR He did say "be careful with that one sunny. One surprisingly quick bike when you hit 8000rpm" Sooo true :evil:

South America to Alaska? Sounds like a dream. Would love to travel east across russia, through siberia, ferry to alaska, through canada to America. And never come back too!

Yeah, he's a nutter, but such a nice bloke...

I remember tracking him on his journys on the IBM Website (they were one of his sponsors)... He had a GPS Transponder strapped to the back of his bike, so you could see where he was all the time!

I think it was 23000 miles in 31 days or something like that.

And the bike survived well!
