Being a relative newcomer to Briskoda, can I just say how much I have learnt about Octys and Fabias since joining. Found out which is the best speed camera detector, found out all about chipping but still can't make my mind up whether to go for it(especially after last night's debate), I've had a damn good laugh at the Bristol Evening Post column that was mentioned here and I've just stuck new badges on my Octavia vRS (got them off MAS) and they look the bees knees.

One thing I haven't found out is whether we Octavia vRS owners wave/flash at Fabia vRS's and would they wave/flash back. Actually, there aren't that many Fabia vRS's round this way (Northants) yet. Once I flashed a vRS and the b****d didn't flash me back. It was only later I realised I was in my works van!

Answer to your question - some flash back, some don't. Probably does help if you're not driving the works van though

A nice post, plumsoul. Whilst I don't own an Octavia vRS I do own an Octavia - so I feel qualified to answer your query. As a general rule Octavia owners try and ignore Fabia Vrs owners - and also ignore their Octavia vRS-owning brethren. If you have an urge to wave/flash, then I suggest that you do this to Felicia owners who are predominantly grey-haired/blue-rinsed, semi-blind and deaf (I know this to be so since I also own one) and are unlikely to be provoked by your actions.

That about sums it up

Well let me say, that as one of the few LUXURY model owners...Superb....that we wave at ALL types of vRS..., and even the none VRS drivers as well if a good look is exchanged, or sticker present (even if its Dynamic Blue).

But then, I am blessed with 2 wonderful Skoda spotters, even from the rear seats too.

I don't flash / wave at Octy's of any sort.

Knowing my luck it would be an Unmarked Plod car and i'd get done for not being in proper control

I flash / wave at any Octy that's a vRS or in any way non-standard looking, and any Fabia vRS.

I did flash/wave at other vrs owners but i tend to get pretty vacant looks off people or they tend to slow down thinking im warning them about a speed trap so nowadays i dont bother but i would definately flash/wave back if someone did to me
