Featured Replies

Hi all!

Great site,very informative.

I bought a '52 reg Octavia 1.8T Elegance,for the Mrs,but I use it quite often,had it about 10 weeks now.It was on 27,300 miles,it's now on about 31,000.

Happy with it so far,just used it for a camping holiday.

My opinions/comments so far.....

Positive;

it's quick enough,ok on fuel (31 to 33 mixed,37 on a steady M-way run),VERY comfortable ride,fantastic over rough roads,it seems to glide along at high speeds.

Negative;

Not much really....the paint (cayenne red) is not durable at all...it marks/scratches/chips very easily;the clutch pedal squeaks,& recently the computer with the mpg info sometimes zero's itself ........when I return to the car after a few hours,the display has gone back to the dashes!

Having searched the forum,I can't find out much about either of these issues,so guess they are not common faults.

So all in all,pretty pleased!.........and still thinking about a remap of course.....should I,shouldn't I,that is the question......

Glad you like your car - and welcome to Briskoda. :)

welcome along

Hi Jon. Welcome to the site :D

Try posting your issues up in the Octavia mark I section for a response to your problems.

Re trip computer: Does it have two function like the fabias? One stores the trip mpg etc and clears itself after two hours of inactive, the other function remembers the details until you physically reset it

Scratches are a bitch. Try a mild polish to remove the worst. Might be worth having a read of the cleaning sub-forum.

Welcome :)

Hello and welcome to Briskoda Jonathan :wavey:
