WRC Spoiler Debate Continued... The Wheels Are On!

Featured Replies

Well opinions were 'split' shall we say last time!! Some of you suggested that the car needed bigger wheels, well the 18"s are fitted, so what do you think now?

Definitely better

Were the originals 16's, as there seems to be a pretty marked difference between the two ?

i'm still not certain about it, but the bigger rims do make it look more at home.

Better...and yes those were the 16" Elegance spec wheel IIRC.

Definitely massively better but that spoiler could still be a bit big...

Wheels are nice.

Sorry still don't like the spoiler. It ruins it IMHO

Looks better yes. Just needs a respray now ;):D

Cheers. More positive than last time but to be honest I'm not surprised. I'm far happier with the look myself.

The old wheels were the Skoda 16" Ride alloys (I think). The new ones are 18" RS6 alloys.

The front wheels protrude ever so slightly past the arches (I'm talking millimetres). Does anyone know what's the easiest/cheapest way to remedy this? The back wheels appear to be right on the mark.

Much better with those wheels on

Looks better IMHO now you need to invest in some coilovers which IMHO should be the first mod anyone does before wheels or styling............:D

Milotec arch extensions? Or ignore it :D

go to unit 18 and have your arches pulled:thumbup:

and then drop it on coilovers

put old spoiler back on and hey prestow lovely motor:P

As Rob Clubley wrote, Milotec arch extensions. I fitted them due to the same problem. They take the eye away from them. I tried ignoring the problem before fitting the extensions, but It bugged the life out of me.

Much better :)

Good plan!! How much does Lummox charge for that? (Unit 18 is Lummox right?)

Coilovers not really an option seeing as I forked out for new Koni's within the last 12 months. Convincing SWMBO that they need replacing would be difficult!!

And as for the old spoiler. It didn't have one on before . Or is that the point you're trying to make?

The Milotec ones are around £140 on the Milotec site. I've seen some "Genuine Skoda" ones on eBay for under £100 delivered. Does anyone know what these are like?

Obviously these will need spraying and fitting so the cost will go up which is why I'm interested in what Unit18 can do!

Send him a PM and get it from the horse's mouth :)

PM Sent

Bin the badge on the wing - it really doesn't look right.

You mean the Elegance badge on the front wing?

Never thought of that. It's just a standard feature of the Elegance but yeah it wouldn't hurt much to remove it.

Yes, definitely remove that.badge IMO. Would look much cleaner.

better mate , more integrated
