I've spoken to the nice lady at motorsport-events.

Essentially, there is no financial commitment for me to make, ie we all pay individually and just associate ourselves with "briskoda Skoda owners club" or "Ed Yarnold" - whichever you fancy - and that contributes towards the group booking.

I've asked her to definitely reserve 6 places for the time being, as we have only got 4 or 5 "definites" as far as I can tell. But she said there should be plenty of space for 10 or 12 of us, should we be able to get that many together.

So info:

- We can book as many or as few in as we like - just mention Briskoda.net (Skoda Owners Club) and you will be associated with the group booking.

- The day will cost £99 regardless of how many people we book in

- If we get 10 people booked in, every main driver will get 20 minutes of free track tuition.

My advice would be to book over the phone - see www.motorsport-events.com for details, ask to book in for the 31st July Hullavington Airfield day and mention "briskoda.net (Skoda owners club)" or my name - "Ed Yarnold".

Deadline for our group booking is 1whenever they run out of spaces.

Please post in here if you have booked in and we can keep a running tally of how many people from here are going!

I think a further discount on £99 is unlikely especially with the potential free track tuition but it would be great to have you there flying the flag for fast skodas .. let's see if we can convince the caterham guys that your car is standard

Kev, did you manage to book in yesterday? And cloanedmk2 & ddr - haven't heard anything from you since the initial interest?

Finally got my video from the last day up for those who are still thinking about it but not quite sure:

I've just realised this is a friday I will have to liaise with work in order to get this day booked off. Will depend on how the auditing plan is looking as when I'm booked in there, I can only get out of it under extenuating circumstances.

what more extenuating than a day of wringing the mongrel's neck around an airfield?!

Jason if you do come it will be interesting to see what top speed you get down the long straights considering a standard fabia will struggle to touch a genuine 90mph down there

If a stock fabia = 90, I would hope mine would reach 115 to 120. But I will need to factor in a larger braking distance too
