Not even started yet. :o

But off from work now to make a start.

Brought me a new oil filter today to fit this evening, and I've got 5L of engine oil to keep me going for the day (recalls how I struggled last time with 1L bottle of the stuff and was running low by the end of the day). See people tomorrow morning.

I'll have some emergency spare just in case. PD oil is better than no oil :D

I'm aiming for arriving at about 8.15 or earlier, mainly to avoid all the damn traffic, Leaving here at 6.30 in the morning.

Long sleeve top and full trousers Mr Soot1e. What's your real name? :D

I replaced the brake fluid, added millers power sport 4 (And will add again tomorrow when i fill up), will be bringing 5 litres of water "for emergencies" and will also have some PD engine oil "just in case" any engines burn any and need any for the journey home... :D

I need to leave at 6am but I also need to change the rear brake pads on the BMW tonight at 10pm. Haha.. wish me luck!!

Soot1e of course!!!!!! Some geezer named Bernie is driving me.

Reggie form of course, nearly forgot that. Wifey is making me sarnies later.

Only the "drive home" wheels to go in the back of the car now.

See you all in the morning.

Car ready to roll now!

Good day at Hullavington today - I'm a bit of an interloper on your site, but I used to have an Octavia vRS and after seeing you guys thought I'd check it out to see if I could still log in.

I was in the red MR2 by the way and had a excellent day :)

Impressed with all your cars, especially Devonutopia's 260bhp beast!!! have a good Ring trip mate

Thanks bud. Was fun following you.

Limped home @ 40mph. I'm convinced the noise is wheel related. I'll get it off tomorrow and see if it's anything obvious, other wise it's over the road to Dave Turners with a credit card :(

Any ideas how much for replacing a wheel bearing?:eek:

I'm still not sure about it being a bearing, but would be interested to find out what it was as the noise had me totally stumped. Did you ever wobble the wheel while it was in the air?

Another thing I wondered was whether a CV joint had gone in one of the driveshafts?

any pics?
