That works for me, either way. It would be difficult to catch people up or slow down for people through the roadworks.

Woodall is between J31 & J30 of the M1

So just south east of Sheffield & west of Worksop.

On the southern border of Yorkshire, hence picking it as a gathering point for the Yorkshire section. Never heard of the reservoir you've mentioned but I've not noticed one near it.

There's some very good logic to that, however...

I'd broken the journey into 3 roughly 40 mile chunks

just so I can have a nosey under the bonnet and stretch my legs,

the ergonomics of the old timer are erm .... different to a modern car

Nelly is looking very nice and shiny although after the run to Hull last night a nice build up of brake dust on the alloys and a few bugs splatered on the front! lol
