Facelift VRS at Dennis Horton, Lincoln

Featured Replies

Saw the new face lifted VRS Octavia in Storm Blue at Dennis Horton in Lincoln today. Supposedly 1st one in the country. Very nice indeed. Kids loved it, but were sorely disappointed when when picked a new Fabia 2 instead

Sorry but

I thought the only vRS Blue was Race Blue, or is this a new colour?

And where are the pics?

Not the best, but the best I could do through glass

not vastly different but you can see the differences. good spy work though!

Thanks for taking those pics I appreciate it. Looks great in blue but I would like to see it in Silver.

Out of interest I have just priced up on Drive The Deal a TDI CR 170 vRS @ £19029 with extras @ £2669 and to my surprise it quoted £17,395.44 a saving of £4248.30 !!!

Whats going on??

Doesn't Drive The Deal quote the RRP with extras, then tell you what price they can do it for, thereby demonstrating what saving you are getting - hence the figures quoted ?

Yes I understand the figures they have quoted but that's hell of a saving assuming it would apply to a Factory Ordered facelift model.

Might be worth checking that it doesn't relate to old stock pre-facelift then, assuming there's any left floating around

Thanks for photos. Am new to Briskoda today but have been reading with great interest as I’m in process of ordering new face lifted vRS via a company car scheme. Getting the spec has been challenging to say the least but have been told that 18" Neptune alloys (shown in picks) are standard. It says on main Skoda web:

?koda Auto - Homepage ,that Xeons are standard, but have been told they are an option with AFS for £512. Was after an Anthracite Grey one as again appears in vRS brochure on attached link but have been told that although they will be doing it in that colour they are not doing it yet (anyone know any different?). Love the blue but I do a lot of miles (30k pa) and keeping it clean must be a nightmare. Other options appear to be as per the pre-face lifted model (roll up screen £52, rear park sensors 226, front rear park sensors 434, maxi dot 108, side curtain airbags 243, electric sunroof 578, space saver wheel 43, tow bar prep113, Columbus sat nav 1209, heated front seats 217, rain sensors and light assist 130, Mobile device interface £130. If anyone knows to different then I’d be obviously interested. See you on the road in my new - presumably (dirty!) blue car.

I hope that's still on its transit blocks...'cos it looks like a 4 x 4!!

Looks like the seats haven't changed from the pre-facelift model. Pity, as I was hoping they would use this as an opportunity to revise these. Don't get me wrong, the current seats are fine, but they have been around a few years now and could do with being updated. Recaro seats would be good.

Although it looks good, it's just not 'new' enough to tempt me out of my current vRS. Just my immediate thoughts.

and looking at that car xenons are not standard as that motor doesnt seem to have the headlamp washers..and they look like 17's?

wtf is going on with that ride height?!

You're right - hadn't noticed that! Or is this the new VRS Scout 4x4 DSG variant that so many peeps seem to be wanting?

Really good pics - many thanks. Looks very nice indeed, can't wait to see this in silver.

Horton's price (19,430 OTR) for this diesel, manual hatchback with metallic paint suggests that there have been no price hikes for the facelift vRS.

It also seemingly implies that the 18" Neptunes are standard equipment, but xenons are not (was rumoured in an earlier thread that Xenons were standard) unless they've upped the standard spec without increasing the price?

New brochure with options and prices should be out in a couple of weeks so all will be revealed.

If they were 17's, they would be Zeniths.

If they were 17's, they would be Zeniths.

These are definitely 18" 'ers (according to Horton's spec, on their website).

I think they played it too safe. It sits too high and could do with more power.

The suspension blocks are in for transport purposes. That is why it is sitting high.

Still confused by the LED running lights in conjunction with standard Halogen bulbs. This would look odd and quite crap in my opinion. With Audi you get LED running lights and Xenon headlights OR standard 'yellow' running lights and standard headlights.

It does seem in the brochure that the LED running lights are standard therefore surely the Xenons would be else they will look very Halfrauds with some H7 bulbs showering their yellow light everywhere

To be honest , i dont like it

I think the mkII is better looking , more sporty , nicer alloys

Maybe it would look better in the flesh with the 18" Zeniths on
