I agree, but at the end of the day I'd rather people spent money on stupidly modifying their cars' looks rather than drugs.. maybe that's just me

As I see it he/she hasn't done any harm to anyone by modifying the car like this. Yeah, they look stupid and we all at the results... but there's not a lot wrong with doing it so long as the modifications that HAVE been made are covered by the insurance.

I asked someone with a modified corsa a similar question - why do you do it rather than buying a nice car in the first place. His answer was "something to fiddle with, I made it my own, and the insurance is affordable.. anything nicer and insurance kills me, and it looks the same as everything else".

His corsa isn't to my taste at all, but his reasoning seems fair to me

Yegnold, fair play that guy did seem to have his reasons. And i guess I would rather these people spent their money on badly shaped fibreglass than narcotics.....

But my god! you're also right when you say it gives us something to laugh at. I Dont think it would be too garish if it was all one subtle colour, like black....
