the reason why i go shopping late night

Featured Replies

so other morning im taking the missus to work, she had to pop to local tesco for her dinner so i parked up in the bulk of the cars closest to the entrance ( i can do that now ive not got the fabia and dont car for bumps on the old dog im driving now) anyway, the space infront of me is empty, the spaces either side of it have a honda jazz and a vectra, im not a big fan of vauxhalls but you could tell this was well looked after, 57 plate SRI, absolutley spotless inside and out, so been there all of 5 mins a guy comes down to park in the empty space in a vw passat, hes turning and and i say to myself he isnt going to make that, he stops, then all of a sudden floors it into the spot, clipping the bumper of the vectra

i look at the guy in total misbelief as he doesnt even seem to acknowledge what he just did, he gets out his car, sees me looking at him knowing fine well ive just seen him do it, he gets his bags and goes in the tesco without a second glance at what hed done, it wound me up as i has my fabia clipped twice by people like that, so the vectra owner comes out and i had a look at the damage and told the guy what had happened, did alot more damage than i thought it would have done though, gave the guy my number if he needed a statement if mr carefree denied it.

why is there so many dishonest people like this out there, it really bugs me, i parked my fabia far end of car park, end spot, wheels touching the kerb and someone still managed to take a lump out the skirt and wing mirror!

I try to park as far away from the masses as possible, it seems people care less and less about what cars they 'ding'. A couple of weeks ago, someone unecessarily banged their door into mine, saw I was in the car, and just walked off without even an acknowledgement that hed done it grrrrr. I can see why people get angry.

this happend when i went to watch the little bro play footy..

i left early as i had work and got to the car park guy turn into carpark and tried to park in a space that wasnt there ripped the the bumper off another car and buckled the wing really bad the guy was a right nugget..

so i get pad out of car and pen look up and see the guy get back in his car after having a good look around and drive off as if nothing had happend... luckly i got his reg and found the owners of the car and gave them details... they phoned the old bill 2 weeks later i was asked for statements...

some people are a complete joke. i double space my car if i cant get a parent toddler space

humm - I am coming to the end of my claiming parent spaces - altho Owen does still need the door open fairly wide to get in and out but as he's 4 this year I cant really keep usin them.

I'm one who will either take up 2 spaces - or park over the other side of the car park to make sure there is space - I did once purposefully open owens door into someones car who had parked so even a bloody stick man couldnt get in my door... you can see the sodding baby seat and the thomas the tank stickers in the back

tesco is parent and child so you can still use them upto 13 years i think it says on there sign:thumbup:

I think most are parent and child now. I love taking our soin food shopping now...lol. I always try to pick my parking spots, something wide or on the end of a row will do nicely.

That reeeealy ****es me off when people do that. I make rather loud comments about lazyness and obesity.

Indeed childhood obesity is a serious problem they should put the wide spaces at the far end of the car park as far away from the store as possible ;)

lol now theres a thought haha might suggest that one to the health minister.

i found the tesco parent and child car park section are usually women or couples under 25 with no kids with them and often in modified cars or very clapped out heaps.

It's often 4x4's and posh cars round our way in the parent and child bays.

One really annoying thing at the Tesco's here is that they have a pick-up/drop-off point right next to the door and everyone uses it as a normal parking space... just dumps the car and goes inside to do their shopping... lazy sods!

I hate shopping and I hate parking up to go shopping even more!

Phil

Not to mention the abandoned trolleys roaming the car park becuase they were too feckin lazy to put it back.

Far end of the car park for me and I won't even go in the place on a Saturday. but that's not just about parking.

I use parent and child bays in tesco if i do or dont have little `un with me, there are paths going in various directions from the shop, why should i have to park further when i`v not got him, same as why should i get to park nearer when i have him? As long as theres and path/safe route to the shop i dont see the point. In my local sainsburys, they has these bays CLOSER than the disabled bays! (which i never use).

*rant over*

OT, im pleased my fabia is pretty tatty outside saves me worrying too much, although when i start tidying her up, i`ll be worrying all the time, which is a shame because it shouldnt be like that.

Why do they have special "Parent & Child" bays at all?

It's a Supermarket ffs, not a kids adventure playground.

Make them park as far as possible from the entrance, and wear out their poor overweight, under excercised little legs as much as possible before they get in the doors. That way the little scrotes will be less likely to charge about screaming, whining, demanding junk food at the tops of their voices, kicking trolleys and so on.

Better still, either leave them at home, or locked in the car.

That's why I go shopping 1 evening in the week about 8 p.m.

Another rant over.

Because when you are attempting to get a baby seat in and out you need to open the door fully ... normally that would mean denting the car next to you as this isnt possible in a normal space. Also when they then get to the age where they are mobile, then then need the door fully open to get in and out with their limited motor skils... again would result in said denting issues to the car next to it. I would love them to put the spaces further away so only people who use them because of the space issue not the sodding lazyness issue use them. Would rahter park other end over 2 spaces if I cant find one as I know the force my son opens a car door with!!!

its people like you who fill up car parks so there is no spaces when in fact half the spaces have been hogged by a tiny car that the driver cannot cope with the size of, or you get back to your car that is parked properly in a parking space and a small car takes up half its parking space and the remaining of yours so you cannot get back into your car apart from the boot.

I think disabled spaces should be at the back too, after all they can manage to get round a supermarket the size of 6 football pitches, surely an extra 200 yds walk would be good exercise for them.

Oh my word! I used to manage without any parent and child parking so it is actually possible to get seats etc. in and out. Just find a double space? or be careful or teach your child not to open the door! That is after all what child locks are for. I also think that they should but some extra large spaces at the back of the car park for people who don't mind walking but who do mind inconsiderate b'stards damaging their property!

Supermarket parking is my pet hate.

another pratt

1.) Watch telly, preferably comedy ('The Office' is very good, I recommend it)

2.) Get a sense of humour.

3.) Go forth.

Also, 'prat' has one 't', and it's 'BREAK', not 'BRAKE'.

Prat.
