Lyrical - potentially useful for concerts where you don't know the entire back catalogue....

Air Mouse -for those with Mac laptops, great for when hooked up to a big screen.

Stickwars - predictable, repetetive.......and yet.......

F1 Timing SP - pricey, but for an F1 nut who is usually away from the telly.....cracking.

Skype - which with a hacked iPhone (don't do it, it's illegal, Mmmkay?) gives 3G net access = cheap calls to mobiles in foreign climes.....

Flight control - the most addictive game on the piephone

peggle - the second most addictive game on piephone

real racing - the best looking and most realistic driving game on piephone

evernote - a notes/clips app that syncs ota with pc (i use it alot for meetings)

beejive IM - the best IM client... supports push now too

and the rest of them... apple remote, google app, google earth, SHOUTcast, sky+ etc etc.. got 4 screens of them lol

Flight Control seconded - unless you value your time and iPhone battery life!

Aroundme

DocsToGo is great for viewing and editing documents - it's word processing abiities are limited though - the App Store description is very accurate

If you're play an instrument then Metronome and Tuna Pitch (instrument tuner) are good too.

yes a certain long haired vrs owner recommended the same app to me too, did wonder if he watched top gear too. But a similar type app for briskodians must surely be easy enough to write (for those budding app writers on this site) ;)

Ive got a dog whistle program which seconds as a ch@v repeller which i think was free

Flight control, how does this one work?

flight control is simplicity.. youll get it pretty quickly.... 58 to beat ;)

latest one i can recommend now ive found it is candywars aka dope wars, once you change all the candy bar names to the original dope war names then it becomes very playable, also has the option to change the place names to places you want, so mine has a load of local towns;)

his a link dope wars becomes candy wars for iphone on [technabob]

The lite version (which i have and happy with) is free, the full version is iirc 59p

ive got one called heyway today, but needs other people with the program to add each other and it warns when near others on your list, any others want to try it with me?

I have the touch, not the Iphone, but the app's are the same (except for 3G and GPS ones)

Here are some i use a fair bit:

ifitness - brilliant tool for the gym. Gives ready made workouts, allows you to add your own. Provides picture and written guides for each exercise. Plots everything on graphs, and keeps track of your weight.

Nike+ - Very good running tool to track distances/times/calories which can be uploaded to the web, and also appear on your facebook/twitter pages.

TV Guide - Gives you a 'now + next' summary for all channels at the time you open the app. saves scanning the TV.

Sky News - up to date stories and videos.

Road trip (i use the lite version) - Great tool if you like to keep an eye on your MPG and monitor fuel costs.

Weatherbug - Will give you up to date weather in your area (you can add other areas too, i have 4 on mine) as well as a forecast, sat images, maps etc.

Night stand - been mentioned above. Turns your iopd/iphone into a digital clock and can be used for an alarm too.

Ichillout - plays sounds like waves/rain/storms/forest/etc on a timer to help relax and fall asleep.

Days until - counts down the days until a certain date (birthday etc), quite usefull for forgetfull people.

uHear - basically a hearing test. works very well.

Relax lite - Kind of a self help hypnosis app. Amazingly you don't manage to stay awake for most of it. Annoyingly, it wakes you up at the end by counting down from 10.

Scrabble - no need to explain this one. I love 3 letter scores!!

Paper toss - as addictive as Flight control for its simplicity.

Stealth - been mentioned above. i was sceptical as i had to have the docking station turned up high to hear anything. My brother who is 20 heard it loud and clear 3 rooms away just through the built in speaker! This works very well, and will make annoying teens vanish.

Hope some of them are what you are looking for.
