Might do, probably won't.

By the way - I have tweaked the route to include more autobahn, a bit of which I am told is delimited :D

Awesome!! Did you get my PM re the airfield day at the end of the month? Might be able to make it if you still have places?

Looking forward to lots of

Don't fancy the alcohol frree one & the road kill personally! They sell Bitburger at my localish. But they also sell far too many good ales for me to feel the need to migrate!

Don't worry about beer ;) :dtp:

Leesman - I am not personally organising the trackday end of next week. I recommend clicking the link in my signature, which takes you to the thread, and then clicking on the how to book link in there. It's all done through an agent, not me. :) (I can't do everything on here :P)

Lol, fair point Devony! That's what I'll do then! Never worried about beer....... it always finds me!

Jamey, at the White Rabbit, are you Ale or Lager? I'd better buy you a beer as you're missin a days twanging!

Coke if I'm driving

Do we need to think about booking the ferry within the next couple of weeks or are we going to wait for the 8 peeps for the chalet first?

Norfolkline is coming up at £26.60 for a ferry out at 6am Friday the 18th and back at 6pm Monday 21st, that is an absolute bargain!

Knew you'd say coke! lol. But what about if you weren't?? I'm up for booking anything btw!!

Best book the chalet first ;)

Ferry prices are fairly static up to about a month or so before the sailing times, so no rush on that. had contact from sunparks customer services so have pushed for the 10% discount again  (Today is the 3 month from arrival date when the 10% deal applies) :)

How's does that work if we're going on 18/09 and its 18/07 now? Or am I missing something & just about to feel very dim!? lol

  • Author

Nope - It's me being a bit dim and thinking it was 3 months away!

Chances are then it will be 547 euros split 8 ways then. :)

Hoping Southpaw and Jomo respond to their PMs soon.

Lol, everytime you've mentioned the 3 month thing I've wondered how that worked & thought it was just something I didn't understand! On the plus side.........you've got a third less time to wait b4 the fun. Result! Track Day........Can't get hold of anyone at the event booking so I'll do it on line & ring Monday to tell them I'm with the Brisky group.

:rubchin:

Is it worth getting ADAC recovery sorted? I'm having a look at it now.

One of our guys broke down on the Ring last year and had to pay something like 220 euros just to get recovered to the carpark - I think if you're ADAC they do it for free?

Depends if you think you're likely to have an "off" or the car is unreliable when being used hard. Personally I won't be bothering, although I may well bring all my tools with me just in case.... Or I keep the faith and bring nothing but the basics. :)

For me, I think my car is very reliable, especially before, during and after trackwork, so I don't see it as a risk. :) Also, as mentioned numerous times, I'll only be giving 90% max around the track itself - no unnecessary risks!

I hammer mine regularly, its done 135k & is as sweet as a nut & averages 33.5mpg which I recon is acceptable? However........I did find my brakes faded & the discs temporarily warped whilst slowing down quickly from #40 yesterday 4 up. I was gonna replace all the discs & pads b4 the ring anyway but now I may do it b4 the track day & uprate too?

Jamie's kindly offered to help. I need to find good but cheap discs & pads from somewhere!

Does anyone know whether the Autobahn is illuminated? Sunrise at dover will be around 6.30 on the day of departure & around 6 at the ring. So if not, we might not be able to do high speeds at all? Reconing the Autobahn traffic will be heavyish by daylight?

Bahhh.. stick my name down for it :D

1+ 2) devonutopia + Xav

3 + 4) Jomo + 1?

5 + 6) Southpaw +1?

7 + 8) Leesman + Chicken_eyebrow

9) NeoVR

basically, Col - I've not heard from eithe Jomo or Southpaw about whether they are bringing a +1. If either of them are coming solo, then you're in to cover the spot.

I might re-PM the pair again to check as I could do with booking up asap.

I may be able to make it as a +1 if i can get time off and anyone has a spare seat.

So stick me down as 2nd/3rd reserve.

Well - If I can get 16 people in total, that's 2 cabins. No problem going to 16, as long as people are 100% committed early enough, I can sort it out. :D

Should know early next week for definite.

Well we've got 8 so far if they're not +1's so that's progress!
