Recently purchased octavia 1.8t elegance . Car runs fine ,but i never hear the cooling fans kick in . Did a 4 hour run & even when stuck in a jam couldnt hear anything . temp guage goes from 0 - 90 within 3 mins of start up & never budges regardless . Am i Right to be a bit concerned ? many thanks in advance .

Mine never moves, thrashing it, sitting in traffic on a hot day, very high speed, whatever! My fabia didn't either, I think it's just a very well balanced system. Its a great engine that one!

Welcome. i wouldn't worry about it. just make sure the expansion tank shows the correct level with no significants drops.
