Yes when you play music through the Bluetooth connection the device is in charge of whats playing (my iPhone in my case). Its just like a very big and expensive set of headphones.

Lets not venture into the question of which method offers the best sound quality  you can only hear the loud bits in a car anyway

It's the one option on my Scout that I regret not selecting. Having recently purchased a new VW Polo, which came with the MDI and iPhone/iPod cable as standard, I'd recommend it. My dealer also thre

@sh4rpsh00ter just put MDI in my Blackline, works perfect off my old IPOD.

Can't get coming home lights working no matter what combination of flashing the main beam etc I try. Not bothered about large speedo on Maxidot or cornering fogs though.

Sorry mate first with BT and MDI, it's normally me following other peoples instructions. I have LED number plate lights coded, MDI, BT, MPH display, corner fogs, dimming DRL's. I am going to look at coming home lights as I am sure I have seen something with a light sensor.

Then you won't be able to retro-fit coming home/leaving home lights. Puddle lights use the light sensor as well, and tend to be fitted before the auto-light kit.

I do recall you can have them activated, but as there's no light sensor, they'll be lighting your way even in broad-daylight
