1/ try netflights.

2/ more for beer than gambling, accomodation is cheap. Beer around $10 most places but you can always find a casino doing it for a dollar to lure you in.

3/ Bills Gamblin Hall, bang in the center of the strip, clean and your in your room within 2 minutes of leaving the strip rather than half an hour walking through a big place like Cesars.

1) I went with Virgin from gatwick, it's direct which is nice.

2) **** loads, but make sure you get a hotel with a room safe (Seriously). Food is expensive.

Hotel rooms are also no longer cheap (You'll see what I mean).

3)

- Visit the hoover damn

- Try and get entry (Ideally VIP) to Wet Republic.

- Take a *walk* up the strip, but don't carry much cash due to the touts.

- Entry is $20 each or $150 for a table, but there is a hotel with a bar/club on the 52nd floor, well worth a look. ;)

- Food is expensive everywhere but do pay a visit to the Venetian, it's impressive.

- Hilton is pretty reasonable and not too bad either, ditto for MGM grand suites.

- Get a monorail pass, as it will save you a lot of time and a lot of money.

- The free entry to the hooker bars will cost you a fortune in drinks and dances so don't go near it.

- The women interested in you at the bar are hookers with pimps waiting around the corners.

- Go out to a collage bar near the uni.. the students are... well you know ;)

Oh have fun and FFS don't get married :):D

I flew with United Airlines, very reasonable at the time.

Stayed in the NewYorkNewYork, fantastic hotel! Booked a double room and on checkin was upgraded to a suite with jacuzzi, living room, big tv's and a view of the bellagio fountains. :D Winner winner chicken dinner!

Loads and loads to do, i would just decide when you get there.

The outlaws went with Virgin - handy tip - go to the airport smartly dressed, the outlaws got free upgrades to 1st class on the way out and back (tickets should have been £6k per person or something ridiculous like that), they went with some friends who had been before and apparently they go on appearance when they choose who to upgrade if they need to even out the load and counter balance the chavs in the back. Mind you they could have done it based on the size of my father in law, he can counter balance a lot...

I second the direct Virgin flight from gatwick.

Take plenty of money because you either intend to P-A-R-T-Y or Gamble (or maybe both) and both cost a lot of money in Veags.

If you can afford it get VIP table service in a club. We went to Pure, it was around $2,000 but you do get an amazing experience and it included 3 or 4 bottles of vodka so if theres enough of you it can be worth while as overall its not that much more for the night but you get reated like a A lister. Seriously seriously recommend it.

Helicopter flight over hoover dam and the cannyon.

Other than that I dont remember anything from Vegas

I stayed in Ceasers and the place was soooo big it was crazy. Took half an hour to get up to your room and thats if you knew the way.

Never made it further up the strip than Hard Rock but went all the way down to the Stratasphere which is also worth a look. See if your man enough to do one of the rides on the top.

As already said the amount of hookers in Veags is unreal. You will get offers all night long, just be polite and refuse and they leave you alone straight away.

What ever you do it will be one of the best trips in your life.

Have fun. Yeah baby.

I've been three times to Vegas and it's one heck of a place  ................. but a week is long enough imo :o

1) whos best/cheapest to fly with (and how much)

Best to fly with is definately Virgin as they go direct but I'd try one of the American airlines for cheaper deals such US Airways but you'll suffer the inconvenience of a stopover somewhere.

2) realistically how much money do i need

Depends on what kind of things you want to get up to but Vegas aint cheap and EVERYONE expects a tip! I'd say minimum of $100 per day will get you by but $200 upwards if you want to do more things like see a show or get a helicopter ride down the Strip or to the Grand Canyon.

3) any reccomendations of places to stay/things to do.

My advice to you is to stay in one of the hotels at the centre of The Strip such as The Venetian, Bellagio or my favorite The Mirage but these places aint cheap but well worth paying a bit more. AVOID downtown Vegas as you can bump into some undesirables so give The Stratosphere, Circus Circus etc a wide birth imo.

Soooo much to do and see in Vegas but my top three tips are:-

1. Go and see a show, 'O' or 'Mystere' are fabulous productions by Cirque Du Soleil, but there are many more.

2. Go and see the fountain show outside the Bellagio at night or better still go to the Mon Ami Gabi restaurant at Paris Resort and Casino opposite and request an outside table for one of the best meals and free shows you'll ever experience

3. You may not be a 'shopper' but take time to go to a Vegas Shopping Mall ................ if you've not spent all your money in the Casinos then your'e guaranteed to spend some here :o

Go and enjoy Col, have a great time

1) Fly Virgin. End of. Direct flights from Gatwick, and the times of flight are much better than the BA flights that will start in October. First time I went, I flew with American Airlines and had to stop in Dallas...never again...I was truly shattered by the time i got to Vegas.

2) I always try to take what I have spent on the flights and hotel, again in spending money. I didnt find food too expensive really, and dont write off eating in some of the food courts...its cheap, and the food is good.

3) It's all about location location location on the strip. We stayed in the Flamingo, which is dead centre of the strip which is perfect, and it isnt too expensive at all. The strip is deceivingly long, so there is a lot of walikjing if you stay at one of the ends!!

I am looking to go back in May next year and can't wait!!

Collect the hookers cards the guys will try and thrust on you every step you take, you can then play swaps with your mate later on :D
As already said the amount of hookers in Vegas is unreal.

 My casino buddy wants to go to Vegas for his 30th next year, from the comments above it may not be a good idea...

BTW what's wrong with flying from Manchester

Do it big then yes you want a f**k load of cash.

Avoid circus circus, it's where all the ch*vs with huge familys of screaming kids turn up to spend the limited cash they have.

We ended up walking around that area at night in a group of 4 and it's still a crap hole.

Good news however is that if you pick conference time there are some very attractive american women who really do like the English accent. Also say Lift not elevator and they come over all week at the knees. Weird but hey ho.

Circus Circus is crap, I stayed there. Go see the Blue Man Group at the Venetian, and take a helicopter trip out over the Hoover dam and landing in the Grand Canyon with Sunset Helicopters. Pricey, but my god, so worth it!

Free drinks, the casinos if you're playing on the right tables.

(Hint they are not the $1 entry ones)

As for sun, vegas is roasting. I was there in march and it was over 40 Celcius. Parching, nasty heat that had you unable to work after an hour. On the plus point most places had air con and there were fit non hookers from the conference by the pool
