Immobiliser key

Featured Replies

Anyone help, where can I buy a new Meta Immobiliser Key for my 1992 Favorite. Appears they are long past anyone keeping them. Cost about £100 to have immobiliser removed. Probably more than the car. Tried, Skoda, Abacuss, CBS and Access Keys.

surely that's not a factory fitted immbilizer on a 92 fav??

whereabouts are you roughly??

What's it look like? - is it one of the Dallas Touch Keys?

Go on the skoda-forum. Ive seen someone on there give directions how to bypass the imobiliser. IIRC its only a 15 minute job, and doesnt take any special abilities

The Keys are no longer available. Removing the immobiliser is an easy job if you are able to cut and join wires ok. Sending PM with instructions which worked for me and were originally courtesy of Fordfan a member on here. I'd be well chuffed if I got a tenner for doing that job, so why they want £100 is beyond me.

ok pretty much just posting on all the favorit immobiliser threads now, if anyone still has the instructions that Anewman pm'd to them can I have a copy please as my immobilser key was stolen when I had my bag snatched so the only option is to remove it but I can't see where the wires end up.

Hi. I'm driving Favorit 1.3 to Mongolia for charity on Thursday and would like to by-pass the immobiliser to be safe. Could I ask you to send me the instructions also and thanks.

Hi my immobiliser blade has fallen off and lost. The car is in an area that will be liable for removal. Can you tell me how to disable the immobiliser.

Thanks

Hi,

I would like to know more about these immobilisers as I have found a whole draw full of the red keys from a local garage that bought old stock from a dealer that closed and I have a 95 favorit with this type of key (only one mind you). Can I use a red Key and will it work?

Regards,

Graeme

I understand they need to be programmed, so the key alone wouldn't work. I don't know anything about the programming process.

I must admit I dont know the process for programming them either. I doubt many skoda dealers will have the gear to so this any more as well.

If it's possible would you be able to forward some instruction on how to bypass the immobilser to me.

Many Regards,

Graeme
