.....what a machine, hes had it remapped to 300bhp, unbelievable quick, popping from the exhaust sounded great aswell, he even let me have a drive, although i was much more careful i can honestly say it felt immensely quick, as soon as you put your foot down it was off, really changed my opinions of vauxhalls

and your alive ?, drove a std 1 a few days ago , gave new insight into torque steer , i thought it was genuinely awful, not impressed at all

Sounds a bit bit like SWMBO's Meriva 1.4 ;)

yeah must admit torque steer was aplenty, but my old fab vrs was a bugger for that, still was a real joy to drive IMO

Mmmm overfueling on overrun... joy.

Sorry I can't get excited about a pauxhall or to be fair a skoda, but hey ho.

I think I agree there... as nice as it is as a machine I just can't like it don't know why... I should do on paper but just don't!

Too lairy for my tastes anyway!

Phil

One drove past me in the opposite direction the other day accelerating off a roundabout and the stupid Remus exhaust nearly deafened me!

Nice car but its a bit "in your face" for my liking - and far far too "in your ears"!!

Test drove the Ashtray and the Corsa VXR back to back... was more impressed with the Corsa to be honest!

if im honest the exhaust wasnt that loud, just made a nice grumble, i know what you mean about looks and what not, i wasnt too keen myself on both the looks and from what id heard about handling, maybe some people are more sensitive to handling than others, after driving the van ive had to for the past year or so its astonishing  and maybe the reason why i didnt think it was so bad, also the car ive got at the min is 10 years old and the handling is awful too, each to their own though:thumbup:

Its funny, after reading this I saw 2 in Manchester city centre tonight.

I'm pretty sure it was 2 different ones as the first one had been involved in a heavy side impact . There'll be a few astra drivers checking ebay breakers for parts me thinks.
