Even if you paid an upholsterer a couple hundred quid to fit them, It's still a bargain!

If you want grey of course

diy?

I am good, but I don't think I am that good ;)

Just found a car upholsterer in Cardiff :)

The colour also matches my interior....

Do it ;):D

I bought a set and it arrived last week. It is for my wifes Black Roomster Scout.

Started last friday with the rearseats, did it all between all other family things that has to be done at weekends . Yesterday I only did the right front seat, so the drivers seat will be done next weekend.

To give an impression how it looks:

The covers are really well made and fit superbly. It is a bit of a fight though to get it done. Not impossible, but you will have to take your time (and not have two left hands...).

For me, this is the first time I did something like this. In normal life my profession is totally different.

The pictures were made directly after removing the original covers and putting the new ones on. No heat treatment yet.

Thanks Simbo;)

It will be a bit of work to keep clean. But still a lot less work as the std upholstery. She already dumped coffee on the original seats, and so once in a while having a toddler (grandchild) in the car doesnt make it easier :o

But leather is still easier to clean than cloth.

And older leather has patina, older cloth is just worn :D

Dammit!

Beat me to it :) Just been waiting for the fitter to get a free day as there is no way I have time to do it myself.

These are great I hope he lists some more Fabia Mk1 covers :-) Did you bother with the door cards?

JON

Full kit inc door cards and arm rest

Booked in on the 28th :)

No doorcards for me. Just the seats (still one to go) and maybe in the future the cards, but I dont think there is a need to do those.

Finished :D

That looks really good.

Ooooh I can't wait. Only 2 weeks to go!

Hi Decron

you will love them. It feels good and smells good

What I missed in the Roomster Scout seats was a´bit more lumbar support. I placed two felt mats underneath the foam padding of the backrests, exactly there where the lumbar support should be. The felt mats are about 1cm thick each and about 20cm high, cut them to rectangles the width of the backrest. It is easy to put them between the spring of the backrest and the foam padding, Gives just the amount I wanted.

A real bargain, perfect fit, good car leather and looks like a factory option.

Cheers from Germany

magic62 , do you know if you can get it for a Fabia2 with sportseats?

Bgds Dan

Hi Dan

You might be able to order it from DK Schweizer directly. The price will be different though. The guy from DK Schweizer offered me a complete set for the roomster in another colour as the set on ebay for 475 excl VAT (and postage).

You could contact him over the offers he makes at ebay.

Grts
