And the Next Camping Trip weekend....!!

Featured Replies

That site seems ok Hannah, thanks for look at them.

I would recommend that we just try and get some bookings made. I can't believe we're getting turned down for group bookings, must think we'd cause trouble or somthing

I will try and phone them in a bit if not heard from them. Most of the camp sites near Loch lomond are small apart from the one i am waiting for a call from

Would we cause trouble??

We should tell them we're a respected car club.

Skodagirl1985 - that would be good if you can call them again shortly, otherwise we will have to each take a turn in calling to book!

I have just called them again. They are now going to discuss it and call back and let me know if they will let us on there site.

This is hard work. They wanted to know what we were doing in the area and i just said we were going to explore the area as none of us have been to Loch Lomand and want to see the sites. Then they said if its Loch Lomond we after to try this site

Forest Holidays: Cashel Caravan Park and Campsite, Camp sites in Scotland

This is there site on Loch Lomond the other one was on Loch Long. So now off to try and call this other site.

Think i have exhausted all the sites in the Loch Lomond area.

I can't believe there is so much bother in booking 10 pitches on a campsite, I mean what is their problem  It's not as if we are a bunch of 17/18 year old chavs booking.

I never had this bother when I phoned Peebles.

Maybe we'll just have to phone and book individually but could end up anywhere on the site if we done that.

maybe I sound young when on the phone!! I'll have put on a big deep voice. That might work.

I might try another one and say we a hill walking club. That might work.

hmmm this could be a problem as NokiaUk says we can't really phone up and book individually as we could end up anywhere on the site, let's see how we get on with this campsite and take it from there.

Thanks once again to Skodagirl1985 for this, perhaps we should just see if we can join forces with one of the lake district ones if it falls through!

Ok another suggestion - How about Killan again where a few of us went last year, I know for a fact that they will take a group (did last year) and were quite happy with a car club being there and think it was only £11.50 for two nights!

Still quite a scenic spot, I'm going to be offline till at least saturday from tonight so let me know what you think, I might try and nip on again tonight later on.

I wondered about killin.

I will check out the killin site.

I just tried to do an online booking at one of the loch lomond sites but can only book 6 at a time max.

Well let's see what happens, thing with booking 6 at a time is where will the other 4 pitches be on the campsite, if you can find the Killen link stick it up.

I have finally managed to provsionally book a site. Don't pay till arrival. Spoke to a really nice lady who is giving us discount. Cos its a group she is giving it to us at £4.50 a night per person.

Its not Loch Lomond. Sorry! No one would take us.

It is another lovely part of the country. A campsite on the Shores of Loch Tay. A few of us were there last year. They are happy to take us and will give us our own area of the feild.

It is a provisional booking so if its not suitable I can just call them again and cancel.

Just need phone and let the lady know numbers.

  • Author

I'll bring one for a laugh!

Glad we finally got a booking, Killin isn't that far away from our original area, can probably circle loch lomand on a drive anyway, still a great part of the country.

Nice one Hannah, and a great price as well

And of course Davy we def need a Melon :D

Nothing better than camping with the Briskoda maskot. The melon will need to come on a drive

Before I forget ... I have a silver Maglite here that I picked up at the weekend, I think it was Gordon's?
