Vrs or Ibiza Cupra ??

Featured Replies

I remember when the first Golf TDI 150 came out (possibly the Mk 4 Golf). Diesal Car Magazine reported it had a large Turbo and this meant lots of Turbo lag. It was better to buy a PD130 and remap it. Does anyone know if the Cupra 160 has a large turbo and suffers from Turbo lag?

PD160 has the same turbo as the PD150. mine pulls nicely from lower engine speeds and keeps going well through to 4000+ RPM

:)

Another vote for a Seat Surgeons retrim in your Fabia - will definitely make is feel like a new car.

No point changing to a FR as its basically the same as a VRS, apart from the looks.

The Cupra is worth changing to though, if you can find one of course.

Yep, staying with my vrs for now, will start putting pennies aside for a retrim. Although I did test drive the Cupra yesterday and there is a marked difference in performance, but, not enough to make me want the car though.

Correct answer!
